Epic Music to listen to while dworfing
« on: August 13, 2010, 04:23:15 am »

So I stumbled over this playlist and tough it would provide a suitable alternative to the standard in game music.

http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/playlist/Epic/33493067

In this treat; Provide playlist or music recommendations to listen to while playing!

Happy dworfing!

Might I just add that Týr is probably, and I'm not exaggerating, the best Viking metal band in existence?

I prefer Radio Rivendell although it's not particularly dwarfy per se. But it's fantasy.

I made a Pandora station based off of Final Fantasy.  Most of it is very old school console sounding which fits well, now I just have to weed out all of the music that sounds too soft.

First thing I did after playing through it was add the Orzammar music from Dragon Age to my playlist and build my fortress listening to that.  It's misnamed in the soundtrack CD as "Ruins of Ostagar" but it is actually the theme for Orzammar, and it's good, though kind of short.  There's another called "Realm of Orzamar" [sic] (seriously, who had the job of assembling that CD?) that's the same theme but a bit more subdued.

Oh, and most of the rest of the soundtrack is good too.  There's a lot of unreleased tracks, but some kind folks on youtube have gone to the effort of making them available.  They even name them correctly.

In the early spring of 143 Diso began wandering the wilds.

In the early spring of 143 Diso starved to death in the Horn of Striking.
