I am rather disapointed...

Dungeon Keeper 2 was hardly perfect and there was a lot that could be done with it ESPECIALLY combining both DK1 and DK2

Yet all they are interested in seems to be making the same game. My enthusiasm is being drained away by their lack of ambition.

Ahh I love that. You remake a game with new features and people complain you're killing the IP. You remake it exactly and people complain you aren't doing anything new.

I suppose you've got to try to to reach that "Golden Zone" where you add enough new content to make people happy without alienating the old crowd.

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

Not really complaining... It just doesn't do anything for me.

There is little point to remakes that don't add anything unless I never had the original game. Which unfortunately I have.

What's that?  Going totally to one extreme will piss off people on the opposite side?  Unbelievable! :P

I think the most we can hope for is that it lives up to the expectation.  I already know that there is ambition in this, even if it isn't seen.  Mind you, the official release information and intro trailer is still a week away.  In truth, we're getting a glimpse of the game that is still very early in its overall developemtn.  And I'm happy for it!   8)  :D 8)

I hope that it provse to be both like the DK series, and totally new at the same time.  The overall effort should be awesome, all the same.

I hope it does well, if it does maybe the creators will have the courage to attempt a Dungeon Keeper 3 type game. (DANG IT EA!!!)

Enough with the advertisement-esque praise :P

Anyway, I'm going to guess that you'll be able to teleport to any room you own. That or you have to build a special teleport room thing, or more likely, a spell of some kind. There better be teleportation though. Still, even if there isn't, it might not be too bad.

Advertisement-esque? This is pretty much full on advertisement.

Well 15 creatures... let me see

Imp
Firefly
Salamander
Glutton Beast
Mistress
Fallen Angel
Dark Knight
Skeleton
Vampire
Widow
Warlock
Troll
Goblin
Rogue (Dark elf? I don't know)
Horny (or whatever that demon is called)

There we go, 15. Though I think the trolls and Goblins are the same creature.

I haven't heard many complaints about X-Com 2 :P
