Skunk Monster?
« on: August 11, 2010, 12:18:41 am »

Well I was at this village ((Dark Fortress) And I met this goblin child, I asked him if I could preform a servic and like useal he told me to look for the leader, But the strange thing is this was a "Skunk Monster" Thinking I wouldn't see it I climbed a slope, And then I saw it. So I talked to it and learned it could say things back. Whats more supriseing when I looked at it and pressed [d]escription it said this. "A towering skinless skunk twisted into humanoid form. It squirms and fidgets. Beware its poisonous bite. And Its class is "Master".

Has anyone else seen anything like this for a dark fortresses leader?

Edit: His Symbol was this &

I understand this happens fairly often. Demons being the kings or liaisons of civilizations in dwarf mode happens, and I think this is that.

Sometimes they even become lawgivers in human towns, and you are often sent to kill them by the warlords, but IF you kill them, you become an enemy of their entity.

Yup, when they escape from the underworld they sometimes feel like oppressing & ruling nearby civs (Usually by hostile takeover if they're goblins or just by tricking them if their humans...they don't like elves, unless they're on the menu. And they just like to hurt dwarves in general).

As leaders, they're pretty reasonable in their quests...especially if they are currently at war with others.

Were you playing a mod? Skunks seem to be not present in the vanilla DF.

Nope I haven't installed a mod as of yet. Its strange. For feet he has paws, But normal legs. And a tail. Those are the only two things that distinguish him from human.

You have found one of the wonders of this game,it is a completely randomly generated monster, they can be made out of anything in the game and can have things like poisionous breath, deadly blood,Toxic bite and not very many more.

Demons are different than the rest of the creatures.
the formulae for them is quite odd

Real Life creature, twisted into humanoid form, and all sorts of crazy ass shit, tho most of the time i've seen them their skinless, and have a breath attack...
