Turn 50: In Soviet Russia, Plot finds you! and first player death.
There was quite a battle scene and we have our first player death. Ghazkull's character will appear next turn. I've also updated the character info pages back on the first page of the thread.
"HERCULEAN SOLDIERS AND MODERN WEAPONS ARE NO MATCH FOR A HEAD ON FIRE!
[1]Instead of tossing a fireball at the herculean soldier, you instead make your head look like an erupting volcano. The fact that your own fire magic does not affect you is the only thing preventing the fireburst from hurting you. Since you were distracted by all this, you lose an opportunity for a first attack.
MEGAPUNCH!
[Herculean attack:6][Drex dodge:1][BP check:3][damage:5+1]
The herculean soldier suddendly grabs Drex by the right arm and tears it right out of the shoulder socket, causing pain and the artery in the stump to fountain blood. [luck:1 ((I was trying to at least have some mercy on you))]Drex grabs the profusely bleeding stump and tries to staunch the flow without success. (Gain near death status at end of turn....)
help drex with the "head on fire" situation.
[1]You are so in shock at what just happened in front of your eyes that you fail to help drex in any way. [luck:4]You manage to get your wits together and charge at one of the soldiers.
[Torc attack:3][Soldier5 dodge:5][Soldier5 counterattack:6][Torc dodge:4][Soldier6 attack:2][Torc dodge:4][Torc counterattack:5][Soldier6 dodge:6]
Filled with renewed courage, you take a swing at one of the soldiers, who manages to dodge. He then swings hard at Torc, who successfully blocks the swing with his buckler, creating a loud clang as metal meets metal. Quickly, there are more clangs as Torc blocks another incoming shot and his countershot is blocked as well.
Soldier1: minor damage to head, right leg is severed, heavy bleeding
Soldier2:broken ribs
Soldier3:broken ribs
Soldier4: bruised head
Soldier5: unhurt
Soldier6: unhurt
Herculean Soldier7: moderate burn on shoulder
Find those Artemis-worshippers again and convince them to leave the town. With mind-control if they won't otherwise.
[4]You decide to run from the battle scene and find the Artemis worshippers, which you do find. [1][luck:3]You try to convince them to leave town, but they refuse as they want to stay and fight. You attempt some mind control and psychological trickery and manage to convince them that they would rather live than die here. So they begin to quickly gather their belongings before they get outta the town.
Lead a band to capture the mayor or equivilent, looting will also happen
[5]You gather a band to capture the mayor or someone in an equivalent position of power and do some looting on the way. [1]A short while later, your band reaches the garrison commanders dwelling and raid it, however he isn't there.
"Ah, isn`t it a nice day? Or rather it would have been. But then you decided to throw a peaceful fellow like me into a jail. Not nice. You will rue that."
"You will now tell me everything you know about the tyrant. Everything. And then i`ll kill the one that told me the least useful infromations. And don`t lie. One of my comrades is a mind reader- He will check the informations. And if one of you lied, or got something wrong, i will first torture and then i`ll kill him."
"Speak".
Interrogate the prisoners.
[5]You interrogate the prisioners and after a few tense moments, the older of the two speaks. "I am Captian Gurjon, garrison commander of this town. I apologize for your unjust inprisionment, for I had no choice. Lord Donzareg, or the Tyrant, as he is called, ordered me to capture you and your companions and send them his way. I have nothing against demigods, in fact, there are demigods among the ranks, even my lieutenant is one, however you must realize that Lord Donzareg is a cruel Tyrant who enjoys creating fear. He employs his own personal army which at random, comes to various places and takes demigods or suspected demigods for whatever reasons and dissapear, along with generally terrorizing the populace. Sometimes the local garrison might be ordered to make people simply dissapear. He is also known for killing all of the local soldiers when the garrison commander refuses or messes up an order or fails to apply various laws and replaces said garrison.
You see, I am your ally and had plans in place to assist you, before all this... bloody chaos....started. I give you my word that I speak the truth, if not, may Belenus cast me into eternal darkness, however, I cannot help you in my current situation."
Then the second prisioner speaks. "He speaks the truth, I myself have witnessed atrocities commited by Lord Donzareg. There are few places that have escaped his iron fist. Wander through enough countryside and you will see many charred remains of towns destroyed by his soldiers."
Converse with the villagers, learning any interesting pieces of gossip.
((You're in the same town as the other players...))
[3]You try to converse with the villagers but get little useful information because of the chaos. There is rumor that the garrison commander was captured by a bunch of prisioners along with something about the Tyrant having numerous defenses, among them, giant golems with armor.
