Practice levitating around my cell.

Also, shouldn't our statuses be updated as we gain new powers?

If I remember the mythology correctly(which I might not. I don't know all that much about Japanese myth) Kitsunes are a more... deadly, sort of trickster than most. I can't remember the details, but due to a number of sources I know that if I ever saw a fox with 9 tails I would turn around and run for my life. Besides, as smjjames said, Hermes was a prankster, but it wasn't his main job.

Well, not all of them are bad- many serve as the messengers of Inari and are largely benevolent.

But yeah, you pretty much want to run when you see a kitsune with nine tails; at that point, it's essentially a god.

Also, I'm going to assume that if you want a weapon/proficiency with a weapon, it takes up a power slot (as shown on two of the already posted characters), or you start out unarmed.

I've got a character in mind, just got to whip up a name (something which I find surprisingly/irritatingly difficult)

Step 1. To which culture belongs your godly ancestor? Determine it.

Step 2. Look up the names of demigods of that culture/Heroes of that Culture/etc.

Step 3. Use one of them. Alternatively modernize them or mix them with a "normal" name.

Step 4: ???

Step 5: Profit!

Well, I was actually thinking of doing some sort of progress thing (simplified skill levels, or maybe just proficiency), but I have no idea how to deal with the bonuses as I'm using one d6 (using Random.org). Basically I wasn't planning on having a skill system like some RTDs have. Still, you have a point in that it should be updated and I didn't think of that at the time for whatever reason.

If I remember the mythology correctly(which I might not. I don't know all that much about Japanese myth) Kitsunes are a more... deadly, sort of trickster than most. I looked at the kitsune stuff on wiki and they certainly seem very powerful, at least for those that are ancient. If you do use a Kitsune (or a kitsune/human hybrid), choose the abilities carefully. :)

@dwarfguy2, the guard is probably too scared to fight back, but we will see. :)

Edit: Also, I think it may be more fun to do this in a narrative style (I hear Sean Mirrsen does this) and it looks like with the way the actions are going, it will be the best way to go about it. I used to do roleplaying stuff, so this will be right up my alley.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Heh, I would do the turn right now, but I should do some homework and I think I'll let the action evolve a little.

Put me up on dat waiting list, bro

Name: Ryuuka
Gender: F
Race: Oni (half-human)
Abilities:
-Superhuman Strength
-Superhuman Constitution
-Weapon of Choice: A Kanabo. Whereas the ones shown are made of oak with steel studs, Ryuuka's is made of solid steel with a leather grip (but still of the regular size).

Appearance: She's tall (slightly over six feet) and has an athletic build, with fair skin, shoulder length blond hair and red eyes. Two small horns grow out of her head, and her canines and nails are somewhat exaggerated, bearing a resemblance to fangs and claws. She wears a pair of loose-fitting red pants with a rope belt, a sarashi, and leather bracers.

Heh, pretty deadly looking weapon there. :) Starting rolls in a bit.

A little preview, the guard lives, and some comedy is about to ensue. I didn't finish the rolls, but getting there.

Turn 2: Escape and Guard Comedy!

Despite the string of not so great rolls, it came out a pretty good turn, and Wolfchilds 6 roll made a great finisher. Believe me, I didn't directly plan this one out even if it seems like it.

Snatch keys and open door, check guard for weapons and take what I find.

EDIT: Also, be shocked by Drex's action.
[Autosuccess] You grab the keys and open the cell door. The scared guard sees this and backs into the door of the cell behind him. [5] Alethe pins the guard against the door and pats him down. You manage to find a small bag of 10 coins, a baton type club with a hidden feature. Twist the handle the right way and a set of blades pop out of the sides, making an impromptu dagger. She stashes both in her belt.

Practice levitating around my cell.
[5] You successfully master levitating as you have another go at it and also hover yourself out of the cell when Alethe opens it.

say "you are of no use to us now." and roast the guard.
((NOT influenced by Torc, believe me, although I DID roll a 4 for his action))[1] Drex walks right up to the guard after Alethe searches the guard, he snarls "You are of no use to us now" and tries to cast fireball into the guards face, but instead of it coming out of your hand, it bursts around your eyes. Your eyeballs are now on fire. At least you're immune to fire ((On account of being a demon)).

Quote from: Guard
Try not to shit self
[2] Now he is even more scared shitless and his pants are well.... stained.

Try to suppress Drex's fireball so it will not kill him. If there is time and the door is open, look for my tools.
[4] You didn't have to suppress the fireball, but you do attempt to put out his eyeball fires and they are now just slightly on fire and still smoking.

At the same time, you tell Drex "There is no need for any killing." In response, Tharin says "Yes, Killing is highly overrated, it's just not right". Turning around and glaring at Torc, Drex yells "HE IS OF NO USE! WHAT, DO YOU WANT HIM TO PULL A KNIFE ON US?", seemingly oblivious to the fact that Alethe just did a full body search. Behind him, Alethe spoke up "Uh, I have his weapon right here....". Motioning to get Drex to calm down, Torc says, "Friend, he is scared out of his mind and all of us appear to be demi-gods or creatures of power. He is so not much of a threat." Arngrim agreed. "As long as he helpest us we shan`t kill him. Instead we shall imprison him here; And thus he shall be a danger no more."

As Arngrim approaches to interrogate the guard, Torc tries to look for his tools [4]. They obviously aren't in the cell block, so he goes out into the hallway to see whats in either direction. To the left is another wing of cell blocks which are empty, to the right the hallway goes down for a couple of feet and turns a corner, the exit is certainly that way. Right in front of you and to the side a bit is a door labelled Armory. BUT, you are no closer to finding your tools, or are you? *hint! hint!*

Arngrim sighed and stood up. When godly intervention failed, someone had to resort to the good old interrogation. He walked to the bars and said to the guard, in his best english,:

"Wouldst thou tell us what layest beyond that door? And then tell us where our equipment is stored. Remember that we are demigods, and thou shallst receive punishment.. Terrible punishment if thou liest to us. But if you help us, you wilt not be hurt.. Not more than we need to."

Ask the guard what lies beyond the door and where our equipment is stored before dwarfguy can incinerate him. If dwarfguy is faster, i`ll search the surroundings for something useful.

[2] Arngrim walks up to the guard and tries to interrogate him, however it looks like the guard is too scared shitless to respond. His hand does seem to shake towards the hallway. Deciding that you guys aren't going to get anything out of this guy, you shove the guard into the cell, shut the door and toss the key into the cell opposite it. You attempt to look for anything useful [4] You try and search, but find nothing useful in the cell block, then your eyes turn to the armory door and head towards it.

thank the guard for the keys, place the illusion of a void on the other side of the door he is fleeing though

[6] You make a very realistic opening in the wall of the cell, in fact, so realistic that you would fool yourself if you didn't already know it was an illusion.

Quote from: guard
FREEDOM!
[5] His fight or flight in overdrive run mode, he gets up and runs towards the illusion and smacks right into the very solid wall, breaking his nose and knocking himself unconscious. ((I think a 6 would have cracked open his skull here.))

You are all in the hallway with the cell block behind you.
