You were something like the sixth vote on him, and said yourself you based this off the results of Zai's pressure. You did a good job of following your vote up with questions initially, but afterwards you pretty much just popped in now and then to make a comment. Why so keen to take credit, and why so defensive?

And do you remember what that reason was? You lurked, popped out to OMGUS bandwagon an easy target once he poked you, then went back to lurking. The fact that it was ultimately the correct decision doesn't mean it isn't suspicious behavior.

IronyOwl, as you can clearly see I was the third of 4 votes on Spartan, at no point mentioned Zai (though I may have used his reasoning without remembering it was his), and with Ottofar and Eduren at 3 votes each at the same time, it is highly unlikely that anyone voting for Spartan was scum, except MAYBE Vector, but that's pure WIFOM and I will have none of it.

Therefore, I am forced to conclude you are attempting to paint me in a negative light for a combination of my general laziness leading to infrequent posting and skimming rather than reading of the thread (allowing you to later go OH WHYDJA IGNORE ME FOR THIS) in combination with my accuracy in determining your partner's identity.

You are incorrect that you were the third of four votes; you were the fifth of five votes at the time. Ottofar jumped ship way later on, but you were nonetheless the last of five people to vote for Spartan. Who did you think was after you?

Well, Spartan, I think you'll be lynched today. You're votehopping, bandwagoning just a touch, and generally acting very jumpy. Real bad signs, dude. It's D1 and I'm what, your fifth vote?

As to who's mafiakilled, I'd bet an experienced player. Pandarsenic, Toony, Zai, maybe Toaster or myself. It's hard to tell.

Cool way to get two players to call each other scum. Makes it look like you're contributing, too.

The best part, of course, is that it implies you have opinions without needing to mention them. Perhaps some hint as to why you think either is scummy could help with their explanation of why they're not?

It's a fun way of reaction gathering; for instance, I get to see that TheBroodyMoods needs to step out of the car and press this to his forehead disregarded my vote, pointing out rightly that I stated no real reason of being suspicious, and moved on.

I voted for Spartan because, as I said, he was changing his vote the second he was reminded it was there for no reason, and he apparently tried to prove TheBroodyMoods was scum to avoid my vote despite not believing TBM was, in fact, scum.

Admittedly, you didn't seem to have a problem with anything but the vote hopping, so my claim that you were mostly using Zai's work isn't right. You still noted that he was continuing to vote hop, so the notion that you found him out still strikes me as ridiculous. Confirmed to your own satisfaction, yes.

According to the first votecount after your vote, between which I saw no changes in vote, there were zero votes on either. Which part of the game are you looking at? The very end, pages and pages after you had cast your vote and done little else? Are you trying to say, after voting him for vote-hopping, that scum would have simply vote-hopped off without consequence, and hence any previous behavior of yours is beyond reproach? That's pretty much the essence of bussing.

I'd probably vote for Spartan if it came down to it. The issue I have here is that we know for a fact he's screwing up- this isn't some subtle anti-town ploy, this is facepalmingly bad failure. Normally, scumtells are things so incompetently bad for town that they have to be malice- but here, we're talking about incompetent malice. Discerning malicious incompetence from normal incompetence can be tricky, and I'm not sure we've got him on anything scum would want to do in that manner.

That said, we simply don't have any better targets, and he's firmly in the No Big Loss pile anyway. It just feels more like housekeeping than scumlynching.

I would assume you thought to ask him that in the first place because of his reactions earlier, which means you didn't really "find" him as far as you're concerned either- is this incorrect? What are you trying to say exactly?

Except, that's not relevant to when you did it, unless you're trying to say that you voted scum and are therefore confirmed and unquestionable town. That seems to be the general argument you've been making earlier, so why are you saying that? I'm not sure if I can explain in much more detail, it's like you got this ball.  I don't have to explain what the ball is made of because you know it's a ball.  Not going to go all made of such and such material you've got the answer right there and you just want to sound like you're actually doing something.

Except, you haven't really explained anything but that there's a ball "over there." You've said "Org is scum because of his day one posts, go figure it out," and sort of implied the same about Lonewolf, but you haven't actually explained anything yourself. Sure, we could go re-read D1 and figure out why you think Org is scum and Lonewolf is buddyscum, but we could do that anyway- why bother bringing it up if you're not going to do anything with it?

Perhaps more importantly, however, it doesn't convince us that you know why either is scum. It's really easy to say someone's "scummy." It doesn't mean you have any good reasons, just that you'd like to look like you're doing something. Saying they're "scummy because of their posts" is pretty much the same thing- you haven't actually said anything, so we can't get a reading on it. And since you seem to be fighting tooth and nail to prevent having to say anything, I have to ask: Why are you so afraid of opening your mouth? Why is any sort of communication with town something you'll do only when absolutely necessary, and even then only as much as you need to be able to claim you've responded?
