Or perhaps they assist others in suicide, instead of killing themselves.

No, let me explain!  The LOYAL and TRUE servants of that god commit suicide themselves.  Those servants are now dead.  The sophistry spewing lip-service-only priests, on the other hand, engage in all sorts of explanations of why they personally do not commit suicide, live, and thus rule the temple.

See?

the priests care so much about their religion that they stay behind, alive, to assist those not yet dead to find 'ascension'. you know, 'sacrificing' their lives to help others, except more like sacrificing their death for others...

Can you ACTUALLY met the demon-gods in game if you play as a goblin? I'm experimenting with playing humans who worship powers(like titans)..doesn't seem to work though.

I just did. Made titans [POWER] and gave justice as their sphere. I met RAJI THE TITAN OF JUSTICE who gave me the quest...to kill a titan.

The titan being RAJI THE RAJI...eh, I really should have removed the MEGABEAST trait.

Also, instead of being in his temple, being adored by worshippers, Raji was in a meadhall :-

Nice overlapping spheres, bittersweet!

Mine have all been a bit average, though I'm seeing a HUGE trend towards my Gods being depicted as humans. I want more wolf and gibbon gods, possibly some emo elves too.

Not only can you meet your demon-gods when playing as a goblin, if you swear to worship them at the temple and then attack them, all of civilization collapses.   :D  See my bug report on the error.

Im just impressed at how these volcano priests somehow managed to make a magma pool out of conglomerate and engrave the entire thing. And according to my heatdam 20000 adventurer they even engraved the floor under the magma.
