...uh, what is "Other M"?

And do any of these new Metroid games have Metriods in them? I really like that pet Metriod Samus had back in Super Metriod... :-\

On the subject of what "Other M" means, the general assumption on the Metroid wikis is that it refers to another Motherbrain.

Sadly, as I'm posting from a phone I can't really cite a source for that, but you can probably google it pretty quick.

Could be an excuse for the game's acronym to be MOM, which may or may not be pertinent to the plot. I wouldn't know, I only played the original for a short while before getting bored with not knowing what to do.

I believe it's pretty damn obvious that M stands for something of a metriod. A Meriod game minus the metriods does not merit the name Metroid. In other words, it's in the freaking title.

I knew one of them didn't! I couldn't think of which one, I wanted to say Fusion, but...

What, the Omega Metroid?

Also, there were plenty of Metroids in Federation storage in Fusion.

Uh, spoiler warning, I guess.

I would love to read more about the metroid lifecycle... something like Prime-style logbook scans, from a metroid research facility (pirate or fed. whichever)...

Somewhere like the lab in the opening of Super or that lab in Fusion would probably have several scanable consoles...

I'm fascinated with xenobiology, even fictional xenobiology >_<

as for games in the series to play, Super and Prime 1 are benchmarks of my video gaming lifetime. The rest range from good to meh.
