Which I always personally find odd in any series mostly because in Canada we don't have middle schools.

What the hell you talking about.
It's exactly what it sounds like, we have no middle schools.

Different parts of Canada, mayhaps?

Maybe, given that each province can do whatever they want with education, within a guideline given out by the Federal government, it wouldn't surprise me if other parts of Canada had them.

I've grown up with Elementary and Highschool. There was never a Middleschool that I was aware of anywhere in sight.

My 'middle school' was part of the high school, but it was still called intermediate.
And it was really short, because it was two years, and one of the only dividing factors was the lunch period, but because I had a high school class for that second year, I got the high school lunch period.

I went to a private school until grade 6 or so, were there was a distinct middle school in between Elementary and High school, and then i went to a public K-9 school right when i would be going into Middle school.

My education involved elementary, middle school, and now high school.  So pretty standard USA stuff.

THE TROPEMIND FINDS IT AMUSING THAT THIS TOPIC WAS DERAILED BY AN ARGUMENT ON WHETHER OR NOT CANADA HAS MIDDLE SCHOOLS.

I've attended middle schools in both Alberta and Nova Scotia and hence refute your implications.
I find it amusing that one brandishing the flag of our country believes our education system to be homogeneous.

Our system breaks it down into: Elementary (K-6), Junior High (7-9), and High School (10-12).

In Australia, we have Kindergarten for about 2 years, Primary School for years 1-6, High School for years 7-12 and then University.

It all seems so much simpler over here.
