Yea, its name and general description elude me but it's graphics were just colored lines and you were versing another squad. You chose what people had to do in a almost Toribash way except with where to throw nades and where to shoot. So yea.

versing another squad.
That is one of my biggest pet peeves in the entire English language.
"Versus" does not have a transitive verb form.
"Versing" is a synonym of songwriting.

I also can't stand "versing" or "I wanna verse you in this game"

Though the idea of having a game in which you actually verse your opponent is interesting to say the least.

What about "being well versed in something"? Is that idiomatic? 'Cause it sure doesn't seem to relate to songwriting.
(humour a non-anglophone, the thread ended after the first response anyway)

In any case, there's a topic already for finding games you've forgotten the name of.

They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I told them I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard.
... Yes, the hugs are for everyone.  No stabbing, though.  Just hugs.

"Versus" and "verse" have similar roots, but there's no connection between the words.  Versing someone comes from misunderstanding "versus" and thinking it's "verses," as in "Jim verses Bill, he's versing him"

Versus means something along the lines of "to turn" and well-versed means you've turned over the subject many times in your studies, or something like that.

Ok, I've consulted the wikitionary, and it seems that my confusion arouse from not realizing that the adjective "versed"[knowledgeable] hasn't got anything(or at least not much) to do with the noun "verse"[to write a poem, etc.].
All in all, a good day's learning. For one, I never realised that "versus" can mean "turn" in addition to "compete against".

If you think about it. The common usage is like... In this corner, yadda blah blah... VERSUS [meaning turn to the other corner]... See?
