Yep, but I can't play on US West due to a big lag :). I play on Azeroth/Northrend only.

Well, in case anyone wants to play something, I'm on Azeroth as well. I'm Darkwind3.0 there. I can't play on Lordaeron though, due to CD-Key related shenanigans.

AstralVoid on Azeroth (USEast) if anyone wants to hit me up. I have a bunch of bots I regularly follow (and they tend to fill up relatively quickly).

I am andrea13 on northrend, but i can't remember the name I used on azeroth... i'll probably have to re-register if we host a game. unless one of you has cross server hosting bots.

edit: also, my ports 6112 to 6119 are open, TCP and UDP. but still people can't connect to the games I host, even if firewall isn't activated. I tested this asking a friend to join, and he couldn't. Any ideas?

edit2: also, I can confirm that the ports are open. I used a program which checks that.

Ports can only be used by one program at a time.
Are you sure you're not shooting yourself in the foot with that program?

Unless something's changed, they don't police custom games.

I am sure. that program won't run if any other program uses the same port. and it is a 1 time check, not a continuous thing, so after i close it it stops using the port.

Untrue.
Back when I was into playing this a lot, I also ran uTorrent on 6112.
I had to restart the computer before I could host a game, despite having "closed" uTorrent.

doesn't change the fact that it goes against all my experience with said program and hosting.

for example, if i check the port and then open warcraft ( even offline) i can't check port anymore because warcraft uses it. PFPortChecker is very polite in this, always leaves port free.

and in the past i hosted both warcraft(ROC) and SS13 without restarting computer after checking port.
also, the first times i tried hosting was without checking port first.

Maybe I should just get a bot.

I didn't say it happened -all the time-, did I?
...I didn't mean to imply it, anyway.
Programs don't play nice with the sockets on occasion.
Disregarding that...

The port in WC's options might have changed?
Maybe your internal IP changed, and the port is, in fact, no longer open?

I suspect that program is wrong.

i checked IP too, IP is the same. one of the first things to check since it happened several times in the past.

the link you posted gives odd results. it says the port is closed, except when i actually try to host. if i check at the time it says that the port is open.

i'll try messing with router..

edit: everything i do changes nothing.when I am not trying to host on WC3, the link you sent me says that my port is closed. and i tried everything i could think of.

thanks for the help anyway.

edit: I am using a bot to host now. if anyone wants to play, I am soon hosting american colonization in northrend and US east. I am 50th in queue, so it will take 10-20 minutes before game is hosted.

Maphackers ahoy. You know, I always through they ban keys on ALL realms.
For me they blocked only accounts, so I used them most of the time (along with tools which kick other people or freeze their controls, it brought a lot of RAEG).

And Founders of the North is a cool game. There's no real "enemy" though so if you want some fun you can attack other players, but there's no real reason to do so so it's not coop-friendly neither has a pvp-goal (but a lot of space for griefing), but the gameplay is firm. It gets a bit boring when you have your town up, but otherwise I'd say let's play it.

I am going online.
