If they don't slip then create a few drops of water up near the ceiling and allow them to fall onto the ground behind him one by one. With any luck this will help distract them.

Become a puddle under the man's feet, his frantic reactions are sure to make him slip.
Then slide through the right door and hide in the first secluded area we see.

((I like how we are using group pronouns to refer to the characters))

((I'm guessing this is sarcasm, i'm not sure, heh.))

Wait for it... Wait for it... you mutter to yourself. As he pans the light away from you, you launch yourself at him with in-human speed. He manages to spin at the last second and gawk at your flying figure before you morph into water, splashing onto the ground near him. Sadly for you, your plan backfires. The mans stuck in shock, staring at the wall ahead of him. Sighing, you quickly slither under the door away from him just in time before you morph back. You look around you...

You are in a poorly lit hallway.
There is the door you came from, one that leads to the heated room, a staircase, a door down the end of the hallway and a boarded up window down the very end.
A small table in the middle of the hallway has a corded phone, a vase with some water and flowers and a picture of a small family. The photo could come in handy for guises...

Whilst you still don't hear movement from the man, you decide to lock the door. You decide to try something. With the hallway being a freezing temperature, you suck some of the water out of the vase and make it hover in the key hole of the door you went under. As you blow on it, it freezes in place, jamming the door. Nice.
NEW ABILITY: Able to freeze very small amounts of water in cold areas.

A phone ey?

Soak it, to short it out, we don't want anyone calling out. Next Lets go up(down?) that staircase.

((And yeah, that wasn't sarcasm.))

Examine the phone photo to see who is in it. Could do with that detail if we want to use it later.

What? Do you expect to find a tiny little man?

I doubt this is like everybody's typical cellphone, I'm imagining nothing more than a home phone. Hell, it's a wire model.

((Now i'm horribly confused, heh heh heh.))
"Still nothing from that man. Good." you whisper. You hover over to the phone and press the contacts button. Their is only two numbers. One to some man called 'Jared's house phone' and one named "My cellphone number". You take their number down with some annoyance. Looks like shorting this phone out wont be enough. You do one better then shorting the phone out, by first splashing it with water, yanking the cord right out and freezing it into a solid block of ice. You hear movement in the cold room. Time to move. As a safety issue, you spread the rest of the water in the vase across the floor, before freezing it into a slick, icy cover. That should slow him down.

You slowly hover up the stairs, making sure your target isin't around. As you finally make it to the clearing, you start to check your surroundings. Before you can how ever, some walks out of a door at the end of the hall...

Its your target.
They look middle aged and have red hair.
They are wearing a sleeping cap, have sleeping goggles on their forehead, have slippers on and are wearing human sleeping clothes.
They have a tired, yet worried look on their face.
They are holding a small candle.

Grinning, you look for some water sources. There is a small bathroom down the end of the hall, a vase on a small table and you sense water pipes under the floor boards.

You manage to hear the small sounds of the human male trying to open the door. You better hurry, before he breaks the illusion of that every thing is normal and you lose your "scare factor".

((Remember, the most scary, innovative and generaly cool ideas will 'work' better, if you get my drift))

Go to the bathroom and try to make some sound that will make her want to go there but not suspect anything out of the ordinary.

You quietly hover over to the bathroom and wait inside. Watching them. Just as their about to walk down the stairs, you morph into a person you saw when you hovered past the photo. The apparent form of their now dead son. You quietly turn the bath on. The hot water, whilst it is warm, is water. You manage to stay in your form despite it. The lady stops moving, suspicious. She walks into the bathroom and frowns at the running bath. Shrugging, she says "Aww. Jared is such a sweetie." She walks in, strips and gets into the bath. Whilst being watched very intently by a watery looking version of her long dead son. Who is under the bath.

With your spiritual hearing, you manage to make out the sound of "Jared" trying to break the door down. Wont take him long.

Try to close and block the door without her noticing if possible. But be careful, if it seems like she might notice simply don't do it.

Also, depending on what you meant by dark: Become liquid, merge with the bath water, reform inside her.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

You morph into water and slither out the door way...

As you walk down the staircase, the man known as Jared finally breaks down the door. Seeing you again, instead of shock, they become enraged and run at you. And slips hard on the black ice, knocking them unconscious. When the bat falls down with a small ice spike on the end of it on to his forehead, hes not likely to wake up again. You morph into the son again and slowly walk up the stairs, making alot of sound as you do. "Jared? Honey? Thanks alot for the bath, come join me if you want.". Smiling, you continue to make your way up the staircase. As you reach the clearing, she says "Honey? Whats taking so long, come on.". You continue to make your way to the bathroom. As you push the door open, you look into see her washing her self in the bath. "About time, si-" she gasps. Before her eyes, is her long lost son. "Philip? PHILIP? PHILIP! My baby! How ar- Baby? Are you ok?". You continue to walk in, eyes hidden. Before her eyes, you sit down, levitating in the air like your having a bath. Slowly, you create an illusion of water entering a bath around. The lady sits there, shocked, stunned and now crying. "B-b-b-bbb-aby?" she asks. You continue to look dead ahead. Slowly the water around you turns black. She gasps and says "What is th-". Then she lets out a petrified scream. "JARED! JARED! JAAARRREED!" she screams as the water in the bath around her turns black. "Jared!". She screams before she is knocked out.

Two hours later

With a loud gasp, the lady lets a loud sigh out. "Dam. I need to stop falling asleep in the bath." she says. And as she turns around, she looks into the empty, soulless eye sockets of her long dead son.

Psychiatrists report on Miss Jannet Smith
On the fifth of April, 1980, Miss Smith was found screaming and talking to a dead plant pot in one of the rooms in her house, by a passing letterman. In her hands was the bloody baseball bat she used to end the life of a Mr Jared Black. Her hands were also stained from the blood of him from what appeared to be her trying to rip his brain out. It is believed that Miss Smith tricked Mr Black into going down stairs to stop a supposed intruder, where she had frozen ice to the quality of black ice all over the floor. Causing Mr Black to slip. She then stabbed him with what appeared to be a baseball bat with a sharp knife on the end. The knife was disposed of and is yet to be found. Miss Jannet Smith was acquitted on terms of insanity and was sentenced to life imprisonment in extreme unstable ward for the rest of her what would be short, life. On the 5 of April, 1981, she was found dead in the womans bathroom, after apparently drowning herself inside it. She was later cremated against her will to save burial space for "the more important" people. She was the last in the line of her family and as such, had no relatives.

OOC: Hope that wasint to shocking. Not scaring part coming up later, likely tomorrow.

I don't think there's any presentation that could make these events scary.
