Currently? Nothing. We got inebriated before doing anything with it.

Naish'na stomps out the fire, scoops out the ashes, and sets about to re-light it. While you Carve up the deer, to make enough food for a few more days, and set some more slabs on your drying rack next to the bear-hide. You also grab most of the branches from the fallen tree, and pile them up, so everything looks nicer... you also take a couple armfuls inside to fuel the flames, which are now burning brighter than they have since the last time you scooped out the flames... all this while the two of you have been mind-talking about your pasts... you try to avoid the more embarasing parts, but mind-links have their faults, she spots your evade instantly and applies pressure untill you let everything slip.....

While they mind-talk of their pasts have Bob make some stew while Naish'na removes the bones from the animal corpses.

We have nothing else to do, though. Just go to sleep, I guess.

Though this mental connection has been awkward, and difficult to understand, it has allowed you multi-task and condense what might have taken two or more days, into a solitery day, nay less than a day, a few hours... but it has tired you out, so you and your mate lay next to the flames... once again you are mezmerized by them, and fall asleep in each other's loving grasp.....

...

...

...

...

...

You dream once more..... The mind link still connects you to Naish'na so she also has as much influence in this as you... but neither of you alter what you see, It is a beutiful dream... filled with things much like when you first drank the reverse-river water.....

...

...

...

...

...

You wake before dawn realize the mind-link has been severed in the night, and head deep out into the forest, armed, and with your new shield..... you spend hours traveling, but eventually you come to the place you dread the most, but the place you absolutely must visit every first of spring...

Ever since that fateful day, that you hardly remember, only known in the stories you were told as you grew into adolescence... the place where you experianced you first moment of life, the place where you were born..... the place where you died..... your home, your casket.....

The burial site of your parents.....

Visit the dead guys. You decide what to do once there. Once done with the dead guys gather fruits, vines, and bamboo-ish wood. Or bamboo if you decide to add it in.

Well yeah, sympathy should be on the agenda, but the plot sort of came out of nowhere... so having a proper reaction prepared is difficult. I thought Bob just sort of appeared one day, to be honest.
How are we supposed to know what to do? Mourn them I guess? Throw some nearby random flowers on the grave?

Use twigs+fire to make candles. Use clay+fire to make a set of tiny bowls. Put the candles in the bowls, light them, then float them down-river.

Instead of all that silly candle, bowl, river stuff, you do what you always do, burn the immediate forage down to ash..... it's amazing how it grows back so fast, must be the ashes of the dead.....

You spark some flames, watch is grow for a bit, then do a sad-but-still-badass-walk away... a single tear falls down your cheek... when you get the river, the smoke can be seen, a dark black ominous cloud, rising to the heavens.....

You get home, it's about noon... Naish'na was worrying, but you set her straight... you are concerned about the river, it is once again flowing in the proper direction, but you should probobly investigate what is downstream now... and for that matter, upstream again, to see what has happened to that small lake

It would be faster to go the path we've already taken. Go upstream first. Once that's done take a nice refreshing jog sprint downstream.

You first check on the known-unknown, you take a leisurely stroll upstream, to find that the small lake has completely emptied out... there is a giant floodplain where it once was, and to think that it is only a quick stroll away from home... how lucky you are...

You then run as fast as your legs can carry you downstream, you pass alot of trees and boulders, but you can really focus on them, your trying not to get eaten by the raging river that has now appeared instead of your measly brook..... what ever was affecting you during the winter could have come from any of these other conjunctions... you can hear a distant Schhhhhhhh, and there is an island in the middle of this giant conjunction, you can see a small construct on it, and a fire-pit, there are 3 men sitting on it's beach trying to catch fish...
