Oh, I should probobly explain my time system, as it hasn't really been a problem before, and I just changed it...

Code: [Select]
                Noon
Late Morning     |     Evening
Morning     \          /     Late Evening
Dawn     _       o       _     Dusk

I have sorted everything in to multiples, or close enough, of 5...

4 (months/seasons) in a year
5 days in a (month/season)
and
5 times in a day (Until we get a clock of a sort)

I just realized that we haven't turned the bear pelt blocking the wind into a proper curtain/cushion yet. Refine the bear pelt on the cave entrance into a proper cushion. Make a crude flint hammer out of a solid stick, vines, and a large piece of flint. Make flint nails. Nail the bear-pelt wind curtain to the mountain and wall so that it doesn't get moved by wind during the next winter.
Have Naish'na do whatever bits of that we can't finish in one day alone.

)It already serves it's intended function quite well, if you would put a couple weights down at the bottom it would be perfect...

)You dont live in a mountain...

We live in a cave, so we might as well nail it to whatever rock formation we're currently living on. Besides we should start making tools now so we can have a better design for when they're fully required.

With your mind-link and a superior intellect, you co-ordinate with Naish'na and make a variety of tools, which you will now refer to as a Tool-Kit! You put some of your wolf-skin strips in with it for bandages. You also more better secure the bear-hide to the entrance, replacing the bouder weights, with nails, though this wont increase effectiveness, there is now more of a skirt on the ground, and it looks nicer.....

We still have the tree crashed next to our rock formation right? Strip it of bark, cut the stump off, and begin making a simple wooden shield from the bark and stump. Also put out the fire, clean out the ash, relight the fire.

The only tecnique that I can think of with those materials requires a glue of some sort... which as you know, we have none of, and so far as I know, we have none of the materials or the procesess required to make anythink sticky when dried...

I was pretty vague with that.
Forget the bark in the production of the shield. Just save the bark until we can make an adhesive.

Ok, well, I just did some wiki-jumping, and found out a process in which we can make a pretty badass glue... using only two materials... do you want to go with glue shield or just the stump? And what do you want to use for the handle / arm-brace. And do you want an arm-brace?

Right! An arm-brace was what I wanted to use the bark for.
The process I had in mind might be a bit long-winded, so I'll put it in spoilers.

Spoiler: Process (click to show/hide)

Also go ahead and make the glue, it will make improving the spear design a LOT easier during the spring.

With some spare time left in the last day of winter, you and your mate talk a stroll through the woods, armed of course. Many sights are sought, and places found, you even spotted a deer! which you chased down, slew, and hauled it back to your cave... When you went back out, your hand brushed up against an odd plant...

Spoiler: Plant (click to show/hide)

The boulbous parts have a sap that is very sticky... and hardens... you remember this for later... when you travel by your clay pit, you find some odd red stuff... it isn't like the rest of the clay, but is just about as abundant... you never noticed it before because it was on the other side of the river, and you never crossed the river after you started using the clay... you pick it up, and some of the sap on your fingers turn a reddish color... you get some inspiration...

You collect scoops of the red-clay, and take it to the ooze-plant, you also bring along your clay bowl. When you mix the two things, it becomes even more sticky, and a red color. You fill your bowl with it, and carry it back home, you use this new creation as a new color for your mural, The new color makes it even more impressive!

During your inspired creationism, you set out to make a shield, you cut a large slab out of the tree, near the base, and hollow out a bit into the middle, then using a little limestone you soften the area out, then you use your red-paste and lay your two remaining clean wolf strips into the hollow area so you have a soft spot, then with a strip of thick bark, and more red-paste, you make a handle.

Put out the fire, then clean the ash out. Relight the fire. Make some deer steak. Also prepare some meat for tomorrow. We'll have jerky before the end of spring if all goes well.
