Knap another sharp stone, with edges on both sides like last time, but wrap your hands in some of the wolf hide strips first. Then do the following:

Look for a solid bone, about the width of your hand, preferably a bit bigger, and as thick and sturdy as possible. Next, take your pointed rock and carefully chip two notches on either side of the rock, along the length of the rock from the bottom. Make each about two thingers high from the bottom and about half a thinger deep. Then take the bone and carve a niche in one end to hold the rock. Now take some long grass and weave it together to form some tough twine, then insert the rock into the bone, use the twine to wind around the rock and bone to hold it in place. If it keeps slipping, carve a small channel in the bone to keep the twine in place, but make sure it's not too deep.
You knapp yet another grey rock, using some of the strips along with your skill, you manage to make a double-blade whithout cutting yourself! You scan your wolf and rabbit bones for one that could be used as a handle, while you do so, your meat is done cooking, so you eat it. You manage to find a somewhat suitable bone for your knife, a wolf tibia, you notch out all the respective holes, and wind the vine around it, you dont really know what to do with your knife for now, so you just set it on the edge of your meat container.

You then hear roars of some beast. You're terified at the sound, and it seems to come from the river, but you can't see anything from here.

Track woman. Find her cave. Observe.
You dont think that woud be a good idea, though it might be good to try and convince her to join you, you dont know if you could break the language barrier unless she was willing...

You take your dried bowl to the river to fill it up, and you see the big animal, dead... it's been mostly stripped of meat, but not of it's skin. You also see tracks, about your foot size, and there are tool marks over then bones. You look around and to your ability there isn't anyone else here at the moment, so you loot it, striping the rest of the skin off, and taking some of the more useful bones, scaplulas, skull, tibias, femurs, and a couple of the bigger ribs. You manage to lug all this back to your cave before anything got back to the corpse, you hang the skin up on your rack, it's huge! You pile the bones with the others...

Stretch the new skin and scrape the fat off of it. Begin learning how to properly tan hides.

Grab a Long Thick Bone and start making Notches down its length. Enough to leave smaller teeth on the bone that give a feeling of sharp. The notches must be close together so that the 'teeth' along the bone are spaced close and evenly apart. When done, grab a few branches three the length of the bone, and four that are just wider then your hand...

Using vines to tie the branches together shape them so that the First long branch will go along the back of the bone (tie the ends of the branches to the ends of the bone so that it says without cutting itself on the teeth) Use the smaller ones to make an upright from the bone and another long one at the top and smaller ones crisscrossing to form a strong frame...

Like this... (excuse my Crappy Paint Drawing)

Call this a Saw...

Test out the new tool on the cut down log by cutting the ends so that the log is flat on both ends...

That's accually pretty good Neyvn, better than anything I could do...

Stretch the new skin and scrape the fat off of it. Begin learning how to properly tan hides.
You stretch the Bear hide, innards facing out, and begin scraping off all the goop, careful not to tear through the skin you use one of the scapulas, and think of ways to make it like the rabbit leather... (You know how, you just dont have enough feces, brains, or urine to do it)

Toss some stiff clay in the fire.
You dump out the water in the bowl, and toss it in the fire. It sizzles a little from the water residue, but then starts crackling

Grab a Long Thick Bone and start making Notches down its length. Enough to leave smaller teeth on the bone that give a feeling of sharp. The notches must be close together so that the 'teeth' along the bone are spaced close and evenly apart. You grab the Bear Femur, and start knotching teeth into it with your knife, luckily rock is better than bone, so you easily get through it. You then chop up enough twigs and vine to wrap it all up into a contraption, you start sawing off the roots and bigger branches of the redwood... this doesn't go so well, you can't seem to get through the thick bark of the beast of a tree.

You look at your fire for that bowl you threw in, it's turned a greenish brown...

You grab a stick and shuffle the fired clay bowl out of the flames, you stare at it for a bit, and it mezmerizes you... you cant look away... it's... so... beutiful..... Then, you remember it was you who made it, and quicky snap out of it. Indeed the bowl 'looks' nice, but you know it can't function as a bowl, as you were intending it too...

Hunt until next plot event.
Hunting sounds like a poor plan, you already have enough food to last you past winter, and with the bear skin, enough materials for enough things to keep you warm through said winter, you even have enough feul for the fire to last through the winter... (have I gotten the point across that winter is coming yet? In case I haven't winter is coming soon, not tomorrow, but really soon!)

Besides you dont what know the other 4 words in that sentance mean, you have yet to fully grasp the comprehension of basic oral gramatical communication...

Luckily, something eventfull happens, white ash is falling from the sky, it's cold, and turns to water!

Please be more specific about 'protection', I wouldn't intend it in a wrong way, but it is too general a command...

It was a joke. A play on words, specificly. I intended it as meaning a weapon of some sort, but if you use the other definition...

But we do need a weapon. Then we go to her cave and start checking things out.

We shouldn't bring a weapon, or if we do we should be as non-threatening as possible. She has mad combat skillz, and would break our wrist and disarm us before removing our entrails and strangling us.
