Ah, fair enough -- I feel like I'm railroading you guys too much as it is, anyway. I'm not giving you enough choices (or any at all, really) so I'll try to lay off on that. I'm suggesting paths you can take, but don't feel compelled to take them (maxicaxi, for instance, is happy to disregard any narrative breadcrumbs I've included -- this isn't a bad thing).

I'll write the turn and post it within 8 hours.

Turn 7: Despite the Best Laid Plans...

"We need to choose our guns and get out of here. His next customers will be here soon."
"Can't you see how nervous he is? Hell, they might kill him. We could probably score some cash or guns if we offer to act as security."
Dan turns away from Rolf and approaches Travis. He effortlessly adopts the behaviour of a typical street kid, putting Travis at ease.
"Listen, man. You're sweating like a pig. Are you worried about the next deal?"
"I'm not fucking worried! I just don't like dealing with gangs. They come in here, waving their gats around and demanding prices that barely make selling these things worth it."
"You can't be at the mercy of your clients. That's not how you run an operation like this. Let us borrow some guns, we'll hang back and make sure things go smoothly. I bet they'll think twice about getting violent if we match them in numbers."

The sound of a car pulling up is heard, just outside the warehouse. It's blaring loud, bassy music.

"Shit, it looks like I don't have a choice. Take whatever you want, just don't provoke them. The last thing I need is a full-blown shootout right here."

Rolf, Johnny, and Dan are quick to choose their guns. Rolf takes a Glock -- he checks the magazine, noting that it's already loaded. Johnny also reaches for a Glock, neglecting to check the magazine -- though a round is chambered. Dan is quick to eye a Colt SCG, finding it to be of perfect weight. The magazine's loaded and a round's chambered. They all stow their pistols for now preferring to keep a low profile.
Howard was further from the table than the others and by the time he arrived, he only had time to grab the nearest one he could find -- a Stallard. It seems a little light...

Henry Dezrick, however, is standing over the tables, carefully weighing his choices. He was never a gun enthusiast -- they all looked pretty much the same to him. He doesn't have time to arm himself, and soon the warehouse door slides open and in strut a group of young men, some still in their teens. A few of them are armed with pistols, while others seem to be unarmed. The one leading them all is a rather scrawny man, built worse than the others. He's wearing dark sunglasses and is a good deal older than the rest.

"Travis. Who the hell are these guys? Didn't know you were raking in enough dough to be able to afford your own goddamn army. Good on ya."
The leader eyes the 'guards' suspiciously but proceeds with the dealings anyway.

"I take it you have the UZIs I ordered?"
"Yeah, I could only scrounge up two. It won't be a problem, will it?"
Peeking over at the prices, the leader scowls.
"$1400? Gimme a break, man. That's bullshit! I'll give you $500 for the both of them."
Travis tilts his head toward his group of bodyguards.
"No can do, my friend. $1400 each, take it or leave it."
"You're kidding me, right? I only brought three thousand here today. How the fuck am I supposed to outfit all my boys if my boss' goddamn UZIs cost that much?"

Seems like your presence might've made Travis a bit too confident -- the next thing he says is very, very stupid.

"I don't give a damn what the hell you can and can't afford. This is my business, and if you don't like my prices, find another dealer."

The leader reaches into his jacket and pulls out a large, oversized handgun. He cocks back the slide, chambering a round.
The thugs -- the ones with pistols, at least -- do the same.

"Excuse me?"

Seems like this situation will deterioriate quickly if you don't act...

[Perception Roll!] -> {2}
You don't really notice anything unusual.

Meanwhile...

"Finished. Finally."
Cyrus lifts up his finished masterpiece -- an AK-47 constructed out of pure scrap. He'd heard stories of how the Soviets were tossing these things together with pieces of junk metal; no reason he shouldn't be able to do the same. The internet's a wonderful thing, really. Having heated and hammered some pieces of steel together and drilled a barrel, he'd say it's about time for a dry fire, at least. He tugs on the makeshift trigger and the entire thing falls apart in his hands.

"Gentlemen, gentlemen," Dezrick says, spreading his arms wide and smiling. "We are all businessmen here. Your boss is also a businessman. How do you think he'll feel if you gun down Travis here and cut off his supply to weapons. I don't think he'll give you a pat on the back, especially not when you're also putting a nice dent in the wallets of all the other groups he's supplying. Are you really ready to hit the mattresses with the Russians and the Asians, and, fuck, probably the cops if you decide to turn this place into fireworks, all so you can save a few bucks on a couple of uzis? Come on man, you're just going to piss off everybody in this city, including your boss."

Say such and such as stated above.

Don't aim it, it will only provoke them. Ready it, but keep it by your side or infront of you.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

So...you're keeping this capped at six people?  Damn.  (How do I always miss all the really cool things?)  Any chance a replacement will be needed later?

There's always a chance. I mean, depending on how the rolls go it's entirely possible the entire team will be gunned down next turn. I might lift the limit or even start another team running in parallel to the first (unlikely, especially as I'll be in school again come September).

How about this: I'll leave new player recruitment up to the current players. If they want some more members of their group, I'll open up sign-ups again. Maybe integrate it into the game itself -- you go out and hunt for new recruits?

Anyway, I'm writing the turn now, though it might be a while before it goes up -- 8-12 hours? Probably sooner.
