So, um, are you guys just going to clean out the car, buy a book on gunsmithing, and consider going to the bar? Or are you still up for discussing/changing your actions? I'll write the turn once you reach a consensus... or tomorrow, whichever comes sooner.
Also, I'm opening up two more slots since no one really seemed to be against it. Assuming we get two people who want in, I'll try to jam them into the story as unobtrusively as possible.

Well I'd like to discuss going to the bar but if tomorow comes without a decision I will head around and town and look for rumors.

They could meet them at the bar. The new players that is. Going to the bar looks like a good idea, as is the cleaning of the car. Best not to have a seat drenched in blood, looks mighty suspicious.

Don't work for another gang, you will just get their troubles loaded off onto you and you aren't quite ready for that yet. Work WITH them instead, be a business partner of sorts, but make sure your independant from them. Tell the boss that you are willing to do odd jobs and such for a reasonable fee and in complete silence. He should hopefully be interested.

Turn 9: Deal at the Docks.

"I'm heading out for a bit. I need some books."
Cyrus spends a while wandering around town, looking for a shop that sells gunsmithing books. They're harder to come by than he thought so he decides to order online. Using a prepaid credit card, he orders $150 worth of books which are due to arrive the day after tomorrow. The internet's a wonderful thing, really.

"Johnny and I'll clean the car, seems like it should be a priority. Henry, do you have any quilts or blankets? Ideally we'd tear out all the upholstery and replace it, but we need something done quick."
"I should have some spares, but let me ask why, exactly, are you relying on me for everything? Both the hideout and the car are mine, we meet at my house constantly --" He's interrupted.
"Listen, this is just a bit of a stopgap; we need someplace to do this, and you're the only one who actually has a house. We sure as hell can't meet at an apartment, and Rolf still lives with his mom. I think Looie might've had a place, but..."
"Once we're 'raking in the dough', so to speak, we move to a better location."
"Right."

"Johnny, go grab some cleaning products. I'll grab the blankets."
Johnny appropriates some bleach and lysol, getting to work almost immediately. By the time Howard arrives with the blankets, the seats had been all but ruined -- the bloodstain was still visible but the location surrounding it was completely washed out.
"What the fuck are you doing? You use peroxide to get the stain out. Bleach only covers it up a bit -- peroxide will eliminate the blood completely. Haven't you done this before?"
Johnny hands the cleaning over to Howard, who's apparently more experienced. He joins Rolf, whose mind is focused readily on meditation. He's calmed his heart and strengthened his body, something Johnny barely understands. He seems to be almost completely at ease!

Meanwhile, Howard and a quick use of a semi-water solution, the fabric regains much of its natural color. Peroxide bleaches the upholstery slightly but it's barely noticeable. In about half an hour, the stain's completely gone with only a slightly off-color patch remaining. The blood that had pooled at the bottom soaked into the carpet -- tearing out the carpet was easier than cleaning that stain. With some blankets and quilts, it's easy enough to hide any signs of tampering.

Meanwhile, Dan had hit the town looking for rumors. He bounced from bar to bar, getting slightly tipsy along the way. By the time he reunited with the others, he had more than his fair share of drinks.
"Hey guys! I'm back. Heard some good stuff, and uh..."
Motioning to some figure outside, a man wearing mostly black steps inside.
"This is Alexander Erikson. I figured we'd need a driver and he's outta work. Used to teach, actually, maybe he'll get along with Dezrick."
"So now there're 7 people in our happy little gang. Wonderful. This started out with just the 5 of us, you know, and now -- now we're taking in so much new blood, hell, we might as well just put up 'help wanted' signs around the neighborhood. What made you think this was a good idea?"
"He already knows, so it's not like we can just kick him out or something. Besides, he has a car."
With a sigh from the members, Dan continues.

"About what I heard, well, there's a huge heroin deal going down tonight, out by the docks. A cartel's pawning its excess off to the street gangs around here. I heard a few guys talking about setting an ambush, killing them all, then taking the drugs and money. I don't know how much they're moving, probably not a lot, but it's gonna be one of the biggest deals this city's seen."
"We're not going to kill members of a goddamned cartel. That's an excellent way to get ourselves and everyone we know hunted down, tortured, killed and buried or burned alive, just for the hell of it."
"They don't have much power over this city -- too many low-level street gangs to consolidate. If they wanted to, they could swoop in and take control, but I don't think they're interested. 'sides, they'd have to contend with every other mob who's thinking about moving in here. What I'm saying, is that we're not the only people who're thinking about showing up at that deal. Every group of street crooks and their pals who heard about it are thinking the same thing. It's going to be hell over there. With any luck they'll all kill each other, but whoever does get outta there has got to be hurting. We could watch over the exits and nab whoever tries to get away."

"Sounds like a good way to get ourselves killed. What about police? If you overheard that from a few hours of eavesdropping, the cops have to be onto it. Did you even think this through?"
"Cops or no cops, the reward outweighs the risk."

"Hows about a couple of us go down to the docks and keep an eye on things from a good distance. If we see a window of opportunity we could seize advantage. We aren't well known enough that we will be in too much danger as long as we aren't seen. We just have to make sure to be smart and if we manage to take any of the product we will just have to be smart in how we distribute it."

"Whatever we do, I'll drive us to.  If some of us do go to the docks, I'll park far enough away that the people involved in the deal probably won't hear us.  Also, I could kind of use a weapon of some sort.  Any of you got a spare kitchen knife or something?"

"Stay the fuck away from my car, Cyrus," Henry says as the mechanic is getting ready to pop the hood. "The car won't go any faster. I know you like 'upgrading' things, but it just doesn't make any sense."

"I have to question the reasoning behind this whole attacking the deal thing," Dezrick says to the others. "What do we get out of it other than being on the scene of a bloodbath?"

He does have a point. What DO you get out of it? Rep with the Cartel? Some guns and maybe money from the dead guys?

Going to the deal might not be a good idea...

"You guys seem to not understand we are simply making an appearance, and if there is an advantage we will take it. If we can get our hands on some product we can step our enterprise up a level. Or shall we stick with murdering innocents and stealing from corner-shops?"
