Am I the only one who found the "bonus hour" way more entertaining/interesting than the official podcast?

Same here. The first hour was interesting, but I enjoyed the second hour even more. It seemed to have more content than the first. Also, it featured Scamps.

Finnaly listened to this thing, and yea the bonus hour was just as good as the original talk and that metwrial shuld probably just have been in there.

What happened to that radio-theater like thing with the dwarf voices?

There are some changes coming to DF Talk, just to bring the news:  I won't be editing anymore.  In the past 3 months there have been a ton of personal changes, including the loss of a job and the search for a new one.  Toady has graciously agreed to take over the editing, so you can look forward to that.  I'll still be helping with hosting duties otherwise, so people may not notice that much of a change.  I may go back to editing when things settle down, but one can never be sure.   :-\

I sure hope everyone enjoyed my editing!

awwwww... :(
That was one of my favourite parts.

By the way, what is the music that's used in the talks? Would it be legal to download that from somewhere? link?

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, what's the status of the transcript?

KOBOLDS!
« Reply #36 on: August 06, 2010, 12:55:22 pm »

Kobolds!
So, do they lay eggs or not?
I was confused.
AND!! I didn't hear a SINGLE Kobold recipe. :(

On Riding Chickens and stuff, I've never seen a cat rip off a chicken's head. I think there is a minimum strength required for ripping off heads. Who knows, maybe a giant would find human heads easy to rip off.

On Expertise, can you imagine how that lack of expertise will show up in training regular dwarves?
You thought the old sparring injuries were bad, hear the tale of Urist Nine-Toes! Lost a toe in a dodging demonstration accident.

On Player forced emotions, if the player can set them rather than have them randomly generated, It'll make it easier to swallow.

One last thing, WHIP VINE OIL!
Finally a purpose for all those extra seeds!

Mmmmmmmmm.... white mushrooms <3

I like hearing about other people's lives, like when Toady told the story of his dad buying him some sort of AM radio building kit, but Zach and Tarn preferred building computers because they could play games on them :D

I dunno if Mallocs is still taking care of it, so I guess whenever a community member steps up and gets it done.

I'll do the transcript as soon as my dwarfs stop partying and finish this dig.

While you are at it, I need a kobold recipe. My next adventurer is heading into a cave without much food...
