That tends to happen a lot, actually, when people get crits with melee weapons.  They tend to deal a lot of damage everywhere.

Aww, you'll probably come back the first few times... though likely with pieces missing. On the bright side, bitsies being blow off means you have to go metal to get back into full gear, which means CYBORG TIME!

Unless you're fairly broke. Or mystical. Or have a low ego score or something. Then it might just be better to be blind in one eye or have a broken spine or whatever. Your fleshbag going haywire is an incredibly annoying experience.

Still. Cyberware's pretty awesome if it doesn't make your meat spaz out.

You won't come back if you actually die in a mecha fight.

If you're forced to eject, sure, but if the enemy manages to actually kill you, you're dead.

An update should come soon...when I can actually get through 6 or 7 enemies without exploding.   Yes, I've hit a sudden difficulty spike.  YAY.

Aren't those incredibly fun?

I once hit a difficulty spike like that. I wound up reloading, doing six more random missions and using all the XP I got to improve my Mech skills and that was enough to get me through.
