I have been wanting to play this tabletop RPG called rifts for a very long time now, but playing it on the forums seems... not as immediate.
So, I decided to ask anyone here if they want to play over oovoo, skype, or aim. If you do not know how to play, do not fret! I have a PDF file of the book. If you do not know what a tabletop RPG is, download the PDF and read "engage your emagination" located right after "the setting." It is a lot of fun, and I hope at least 3 people will join, if not more. tell me if you want to join, and if you are using Skype, oovoo, or aim. Oovoo or aim is reccomended. if you join, I hope you will have fun.

IRC is a chat system who's main focus is chat rooms.

there's hundreds of clients that you can use with it, I use Xchat, found here: http://www.silverex.org/news/

okay, i have xchat now. I am assuming your username is the same? mine is. I set up the network, called rifts: ultimate edition online.

you join an existing network, and make your own channel. username is whatever you want it to be, as long as it's not used.

I recommend using newnet as the network, so that people who already have it set up can join with minimal fuss.

this way you will also have the chance to join the shenanigans in the b12g chat room.

ahh, newnet is not there

in  the network list, click add

this will add a new network names new network.

rename it to newnet.

click edit.

you will see a window with a bunch of stuff. click "newserver/6667" change it to "irc.newnet.net/6667"

add #bay12games to the favourite channel list, and optionally check 'connect to this network on startup'
