I'll buy an iron helm, breastplate, and leggings, one level of knife, and the rest into dodging.

Match 10

Ironblade versus Huxley
Managed by Blade_Train3r and Josephus

Two well-balanced fighters glare at each other from across the arena. The dwarf, Ironblade, who wields a huge steel battle and wears a silver mail shirt, is a fan favorite and was cheered loudly when he entered the arena. His opponent, a human named Huxley, holds a large weapon of his own: a bronze two-handed sword. He wears an iron shirt and copper leggings for protection.
Ironblade's first strike hits home and shatters Huxley's right rib cage. Blood pours out at an alarming rate. With little time to spare, Huxley charges at the Dwarf and knocks him over, but the shock of the collision sends Huxley to the dreamworld. Ironblade, after catching his breath, stands up and looks down at the incapacitated human. He only hesitates for a second before raising his axe and chopping off Huxley's right forearm! His next blow hits Huxley right in the heart and blood spewed out of his chest like some grisly goblin fountain. Ironblade proceeds to cut open the human's chest,(perhaps for educational purposes-he might have to face another one of these deformed creatures in the future), and Huxley's breath shortens. Moments before death overcame him, Huxley awoke and opened his eyes: he saw his chest cavity torn asunder,  and he saw his foe loom above him, wielding the deadly battle axe that was now covered in human blood. He also thought he heard a chant coming from all around him: calling out "Ironblade! Ironblade! Ironblade!..."

Ironblade is victorious, and advances to the next round!

I will buy bronze leggings and up my armor/armour skill.

You have bronze leggings - how about bronze mail and bronze gauntlets instead? You can also use bronze high boots or a leather cap.

Come on you little naked kobold! Cut that big dog's head off!

Also: Bigger races seem overpowered in the first round (and maybe second), but after that, smaller races get the advantage. Big races would have, what, 400-500 points at round 3, while kobolds would have close to 900. That 500 extra point could give one skill on legendary, and that is a BIG bonus.

Well, the more big race characters there are, the less of the chance that point difference is going to occur in the later rounds. Theoretically all of the small guys should be losing, which, for the most part, they are.
It could end up being mostly trolls and minotaurs in the final 8.

Match 11

Dancing Dagger versus Sharkie
Managed by mipe9 and Dbuhos

Dancing Dagger is your typical kobold warrior archetype: fast and nimble and proficient with a blade. Sharkie is a werewolf, a creature of immense strength and size. Although capable of using weapons and armor, this one chooses to fight without those encumbrances and relies on its strength and mighty bite to end its foes.
The gladiators meet in the center of the ring, unsure of how to deal with a creature so different from themselves. Sharkie strikes first, but the kobold jumps out of the way. And in a flash, Dancing Dagger brings his gleaming adamantine knife around and slashes the creature across the abdomen, slicing it in two! Sharkie dies instantly, and Dancing Dagger achieves the quickest victory in the tournament so far!

Dancing Dagger is victorious, and advances to the next round!

Match 12

Drizzle versus Bob
Managed by SethCreifd and breadbocks

Drizzle is a gremlin armed with a platinum whip and an oak buckler(along with a pair of gauntlets), neither of which he can use very well. He is, however, a great dodger and is almost impossible to hit! Bob is a strange creature indeed, and "his" name does not do "him" justice. For he is a soldier ant woman: an insect creature with four arms and a pair of legs. The giant ant holds two bucklers with its lower pair of hands, and a platinum flail in its top pair. It also wears a bronze breast plate.
Initially, the two prove their defensive worth: neither can land a hit. Dodging, blocking, and outright misses are the order of the day. Finally, the stalemate breaks: Bob charges Drizzle knocking him to the ground. Now unable to dodge, the gremlin suffers blow after blow from Bob's cruel flail. Anger and Hatred give Drizzle new life, and he manages to stand up and counterattack. However, his lack of skill with the whip became apparent, and he cannot land a hit. Bob's aim is true, however, and soon Drizzle in reeling on the ground in pain. A couple dozen smacks later, including a hit to the brain, ends the life of the little gremlin. Bob bangs his bucklers together in triumph.

Bob is victorious, and advances to the next round!

Holy shit, the kobolds are doing it. A werewolf is nothing to laugh at, I can't believe he took it down. And a oneshot, no less.

That adamantine dagger is going to cause some serious harm. If he gets the first solid hit, I'm certain the fight is over. In fact, I'd even say a minotaur's got nothing on Dancing Dagger.

Match 13

Kafri versus Mountainchopper
Managed by  Eztuzt and Asehujiko

Kafri is a bow wielding Elf decked out in an [almost] full set of oaken armor. Mountainchopper is a Yeti, the only of its kind that will grace the Arena in this tournament. The Yeti is humongous and the audience leans back it fear. Mountainchopper yields a bronze great axe: never before has a weapon of such awesome magnitude been wielded in the Arena. But, perhaps, a few well placed arrows will take this mighty beast down?
Kafri opens up firing, but his first arrow is far off the mark. The Elf struggles to load the next arrow on the bowstring(its as if he has never used a bow before). The Yeti is nearly at the Elf before Kafri finally gets the shot off. It hits Mountainchopper in the chest! But the Yeti is so large the arrow only penetrates into the fatty layers. Then Mountainchopper charges the little elf knocking him to the ground! Kafri manages to parry the first and second blow from Mountainchopper's great axe, but the third shot hits his armor. The oak proves to be totally ineffective, and the axe cuts deep into the Elf's flesh. In pain, the Elf can do nothing to stop the incoming blows. Kafri manages to survive for a surprisingly long time against such a lethal device, but a hit to the head finishes the job. Mountainchopper grunts, and then lays down on a blanket of blood and guts to take a much deserved nap.

Mountainchopper is victorious, and advances to the next round!

Match 14

Duriel versus Doritos
Managed by Duriel and oidip

Duriel is a human who wields a steel whip and wears a bronze helm, mail shirt and greaves. Doritos is a Kobold who sports a steel bow and bolts, but is otherwise free of combat gear. Doritos knows that he must take the human down before its deadly whip can meet his unprotected flesh.
Doritos fires his first shot quickly, and it hits the human in the leg! But it doesn't slow Duriel down a jot, and he reaches Doritos while the latter fires his second arrow, which sails wide. Duriel knocks the kobold down and the lashings begin. Duriel is unrelenting, and the Kobold never manages to counterattack. The steel whip does not bring death quickly, and Doritos must have suffered tremendously. The crowd loved it. Finally, death released Doritos from his misery, and Duriel was able to catch his breath.

Duriel is victorious, and advances to the next round!
