How big small is the arena?  (yes I saw the picture in the first post).  In normal DF battles it seems as though ranged combatants can fire about one projectile per space or two that someone moves.  Or maybe that is just bowmen?

I imagine with 8 fighters everyone is a bit closer to each other than in a a normal match. So even if we do poorly here, we'll get more shots off in the actual tournament.

Kilakan gives into the pain
Snyper shoot kilakan in the head
Kilakan has been shot and killed
snyper dies of blood loss.

I really saw a Lord of the rings type death there, he had 2 bolts left, and all of them had been shot at me....

Very Lord of the rings-ey, yes ( let's just pretend that last part never happened though )

Not going to write this one up to avoid ego issues, but suffice it to say Winner: Om Nom the lover of rag dolls. Anyone else, please, feel free!  ;)

Some notes:

Apparently you can whip projectiles out of the air.
There is no such thing as Leather Gauntlets (I bumped them to Oak)
I should probably put some points into wrestling

I'm starting the fighters off at the edges; there are six tiles between each of my starting positions, four if you count diagonals.  When the fighters start at opposite ends there will be 11 tiles between them.

I did ok until the paralysis set in.

Whip headshot!

Is my build illegal with the oak gauntlets?

Also on further analysis, it look like I lived by the whip headshot, and died by the whip headshot.

It is, you have 3 points in reserve and they only cost 2 more.

HOLY ARMOK. GANNON IS A DEMON. 4 Kills, all of them headshots. And poor Snyper... the things I did to Snyper...

That ending though... weak. My hand gets bit and I get envenomated, completely losing all ability to kick ass.

It looks like whenever I have the initiative, I win. And that happened 4 times.

Watch out for Gannon, people,

WARNING: There are bodyparts flying and broken guts, read this post with care. Also, if you are afraid of horrible grammar, skip the whole post.

NOTICE: If a kobold had negative points, I substracted them so that they were positive (usually from dodging)

Kobold Action. 5 Kobolds, 1 survivor. Who will survive? (Notice, I didn't calculate how many kobolds there were so they are in.. a bit of weird spots, but hey, that's Kobold Fortress for you!)

There are 5 Kobolds in the ring, On the left side, there is LordSlowpoke, competent Axekobold with Bronze battle axe, breastplate and some other bronze armour.

In the top left,Firefox,Competent Swordskobold with *steel* short sword, iron breastplate and mail shirt and a oak buckler.

On the top, Dancing Dagger,a naked Kobold who is proficient with knives and uses a large adamantine dagger as a weapon.

On the right, there Jack, who much like Dancing Dagger, uses an adamantine large dagger. But he also has a small copper breastplate with him.

And lastly, but not least, bottom right corner, Doritos, A naked kobold who is an accomplished Bowkobold, using a STEEL BOW as a weapon!

The kobolds wait for the fight to start, and when the battle starts, it starts instantly. Doritos shoots Jack with his bow, striking through the breastplate in lower body, tearing muscles and BREAKING HIS GUTS (Yeah, the guts was broken.). Jack feels sick, but still rushes towards Doritos. Jack vomits, and that gives enough time for Doritos to shoot Jack's left leg, without causing serious injuries. Jack manages to charge at Doridos and stabs Doridos left leg, revenging the wound Dorido's arrow did to his leg. Doridos falls over, and Jack stabs the lower body, tearing muscle and tearing the lower spine's nervous tissue with it!

On the other side of the field,LordSlowpoke starts to run towards Firefox, but Firefox thinks that Dancing Dagger is a bigger threat and runs towards him. Dancing dagger charges towards Firefox and strikes him, but the shot is blocked! Dancing Dagger then collides with Firefox and they both are on the ground while Lordslowpoke is right behind them! Firefox tries to attack Dancing Dagger, but DD jumps away! Firefox loses hold of his buckler and sword, just before LordSlowpoke comes and cuts his head off with his battleaxe. LordSlowPoke charges at Dancing Dagger and hacks his left arm off, while colliding with him and knocking DD over. LSP seeing helpless DD, strikes his battle axe in DD's upper body, tearing the liver apart! The battleaxe gets stuck in the wound, and LSP needs to twist the axe to get it out. Dancing Dagger having no power left, loses the hold of the adamantine dagger. LordSlowpoke cuts DancingDagger's head off. LSP with his bloodthirsty eyes looks at the 2 other survivors...

Jack tries to finish Doridos, but Doridos keeps parrying the strikes! Jack doesn't notice the monster with the battle axe coming from behind, and pays that by having his left foot fly across the arena. But even then it's too late, LSP hacks Jack's back and manages to tear apart his right lung! So far, Jack's breastplate hasn't helped at all, and he has troubles breathing. LSP for some reason doesn't hack Jack's head off, but is satisfied with tearing Jack's liver apart and watching him bleed out.

It's the final two left. Doridos, who is on the ground with his hurt left leg and having only his bow, and then there is LordSlowPoke, who has so far killed 3 kobolds in the match, 2 by cutting their heads off. LSP decides to 'help' Doridos, by cutting his left leg completely off. And just to finish the last kobold, he cuts him in half.

The victory goes to LordSlowpoke, killing 4 out of 4 enemies. He didn't suffer a single injury during the whole match, and the viewers in the audience wanted to see the last kobold die! With some weird lever systems, they hauled an ELEPHANT to the other side of the field! Lordslowpoke attacks the elephant's right rear leg, but only manages to tear the skin! The elephant only gets mad from that, and kicks LSP over, kicks his right leg, shattering the bones and brusing the muscles, and then kicks his upper body, bruising the muscle and the right lung. LSP can't breat well anymore, but for Elephant that was just the start. In the short time, he manages to:
- Bruise LSP's guts
- Bruise the left kidney
- KICKS THE RIGHT FALSE RIB THROUGH THE HEART, TEARING APART THE HEART.
- Shattering the bones in left arm and the right hand.

Even after all that beat down, LSP is still alive. But then the elephant kicks LordSlowpoke's head, jamming the skull through the brain. Even after that, LSP doesn't die, but merely gets knocked unconscious.. He soon dies, hovewer.

5 Kobolds entered. 1 Elephant got out. This is madness! No. This. Is. KOOOBOOOOOLD FORTREEEEEEEESSS!

Wait, so it is illegal or I only have 1 point remaining, which one?
