Based on the poll and what people are saying I think I might do Space Rangers 2.

Yeah, I checked there was never a crack made for the U.S version.

Can't you use the Russian one? Most of the game text is in the resources anyway, so you'll only get some system text in russian. Although that might not work either, like with Silent Storm. Worth a try though.

Just-in-case doublepost: I just checked, there's a crack for both SR2 and SR2:Reboot, though for unpatched versions of both (did the english SR2 even get patches? I think they rereleased it after they made all the patches to the russian version).

The next best thing you can do is probably E2150. While not nearly as open as SR2, it's still quite an interesting strategy game with a passable story. Not to mention unit customizaton. Go Eurasian Dynasty! Kill everything with your ridiculously large tanks!
