Can't find anything about this on search, so either I'm very stupid or something's wrong that shouldn't be...

I chose adventure mode, then picked my character type (Human).  Next screen is skills.  It says "Remaining: 95" at the top, and "-> to change" at the bottom.  I'm taking this to mean I have 95 skill points to spread around and pressing the right arrow should change the appropriate skill when I scroll down to it.

It's not working.  I can scroll the list fine, but I can't alter the points in any of the skills (I've tried keyboard rolling, but none of them work).  I can also go past the screen to name the character, and presumably on to start the game; however, starting out with a 5 in everything strikes me as a very bad idea.

 This seems fairly straightforward, so I don't know what else to try.  Help?

I believe you add and subtract skill points by using the + and - keys on the numpad, respectively.
