Am I clear on this? The guys tried to rob a place, WITHOUT ANY WEAPONS?

I wonder how the dialogue went.

They pretended they had weapons, though.

They tried to steal a kid's DS. Clearly they were merely overgrown schoolyard bullies, relying on the geeks to run away screaming for their mommies at even the threat of violence. They did not realize that older geeks are much more protective of their stuff.

Three people going into anywhere and attempting to rob the place without any weapons?
That both requires weapons, and is significantly more illegal than walking in some place and yelling "give me yo money, bitches!".

Fun fact, armed robbery carries with it a higher sentence than just plain 'ol robbery. There are reasons not to use weapons.

Also, breaking into someone's house during the day carries a lesser penalty, where I live at least and in most places, than breaking in at night.

Interesting and strange. Aren't burglars more prone to break in during the day anyway? When people are at their jobs and such, and only old people and cats remain at home.

Professionals do it in the evening while everybody is eating dinner. They pry open the master bedroom window, which is usually the farthest room from the kitchen anyway, and go straight for the jewellry.

The idea is that breaking into a house during the day carries a reasonable belief that there is nobody home, so you are not likely to hurt anyone. If you break in at night, hurting somebody is much more likely.

There are more fines for wearing protective gear while robbing also. It poses more danger to the police if they can't stop you.

When I become a robber, either:

a.) Don't get caught.
or
b.) Do it naked during the middle of day, so you will have a lower penalty when you do get caught.

Wouldn't plan B result in a higher penalty? You know, due to some possible sexual assault implications?

What if you didn't have any genitals, couldn't you just go naked as a dude (because showing your nipples is okay)?
