Threw a body at a kid, body lodged in the kid's chest
« on: August 01, 2010, 09:28:43 pm »

So I was playing around in adventure mode, and I killed some guy for the hell of it. I pick up his body, and go downstairs. Some little brats thought it would be a good idea to fight me, so I started bashing them. I chunked a couple things at them (lion's body, etc), then threw the guy-I-killed's body at the child. Reasonably enough, it mangled his chest, driving a rib into his lung. Not reasonably enough, the corpse lodged firmly in the wound. Not sure if this is a very odd occurrence, but a friend I showed it to (who's pretty experienced with DF) was baffled, so it seems topic worthy.

Sorry bout the big image, couldn't scale it down well.

Yup, pretty normal occurrence by now. It happens every now and then...once someone actually threw a Dragon's corpse unto a cat and it got lodged in it's body as well (no, that's no typo...probably a fluke/glitch for something that big). It's pic is probably still in a thread here somewhere.

I could imagine part of it getting lodged, it kinda makes sense. Like an arm bone or something?

I'm just getting the wonderful image of a child running around with a corpse embedded in his chest, wondering why everyone seems to be scared of him.

1. Don't upload as BMP. Ever.
2. Scale down the image. Seriously. Quality matters not when you've got a 1920x1054 image in bitmap format.

Well, you see, it was the corpses rib that pierced the child's lung and then got caught up in the child's ribs, thus being lodged in the wound... or something.

Dwarf!  Indeed, a devious delight fond of drink and industry deceived as both do-gooder and devil by the delusions of deities.  This demander, no daft demeanor, is a driving force of the deadly diocese, now disappointed, delirious from goblin deception.  However, this delicious derangement of a demolished diamond stands determined!

Read four post up, dude. Oidip, you git it backwards. The adult body was stuck in the child's body. Balancing issues ftw.
