Because if you do, we are all dead.

But sometimes you get hungry, and bored, well, okay, just bored, and need an omelette, and maybe, at the end of the day, you were really just after the X.P....

He bought a dragon egg?

Which btw won't be worth XP until it hatches, I bet...

No, he didn't buy a dragon egg. He bought two. A gold one and a silver one. Because the best way to raise dragons is by taking them on a quest to slay a vampire that can kill things automagically before they can make will saves.

The eggs are not worth xp, but the dragons that will hunt you down in a vengeful rage will be worth much, although tracking down their loot will be a chore...

so... when we got to combat, first round, first move, and I have to make a saving throw, and fail it...

Heh, I was almost expecting a repeat of the vampire episode. (dammit, Derrek! can't you survive one round of combat?! ) of course, then I managed to make my fortitude save where my eagle failed...

I expect we might be wanting to land soon in case the poison is still in the eagles' systems and further reduces their strength.

That said, if someone's eagle does become too overburdened to fly, I can give an emergency boost with bull's strength.

of course, using telekinesis to grapple the ravens out of the sky might turn out to be the best solution- it would at least give us a little reprieve as they are forced to climb back to our altitude if they don't fall far enough to dash themselves against the ground.

Actually, I think we have some unmanned eagles. If that's the case, either Eafoth or Cerrad (probably Cerrad) could hop to one of those if it flew next to ours.

COULDN'T.  RESIST.  TEMPTATION.

Really, its probably just going to get worse in that area, and there's no telling how long it will be before the Drakes are completely worthless. WHAT BETTER TO SPEND THEM ON THAN DRAGONS?

...and, if my guess is correct, the in-game time might be long enough for our characters to see them fully grown.  Well, our characters' reincarnations, but whatever,

Hey... Gold dragons start out as medium, this means that zook might be able to ride it!  IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!!!

Also I figure we can just wish them to adult age once we get stuff like that.

At Very Young, golds are L and silvers are M. That would mean both would be ridable, I think. (Zook on the silver and someone else on the gold).

Also, Barb threw Cerrad's blanket away to stay in the air.

I think something has to be two sizes larger than you to be able to ride it, but I could be wrong. I'd imagine Naren would take the gold dragon, though. I have a mount anyway, the ever-forgotten light warhorse, Jorje.

Also, Barb threw Cerrad's blanket away to stay in the air.
Sorry, if you really needed that for something. We were two pounds over the carrying capacity of our eagle (after it had been poisoned) so I threw it away to avoid hitting the ground. If it makes you feel that bad, I think I have a couple points in a profession.
