Awesome session, silent barrels of shrapnel included. Anyone got ideas on how we'll fare against the 8 bandits coming in from the north? Find out next time on... D&D... THE MERCENARIES!

I have ascertained that the HTML color tags do not work properly when encased in an "if" block, which is of course exactly where I need them to be. So there is to be no colouring my "Confirm Critical:" message red like I wanted.

Suffice to say, "Dammit."

EDIT: also, awesome serif-colouring there, Barb.

I would like to join and have some questions.  I haven't had the opportunity to play any involved D&D games but I have several books and would like to try it out.

Can I use spells from the spell compendium?

Level 10 characters right?

I'll need to see every spell you want to use.

I may be an hour or so late instead of half an hour, due to an extended practice on Thursday. (This won't be a problem in the following weeks.)

I will actually be able to make it to the session on time tomorrow, since I don't work tomorrow. Unless that guy with the weak stomach calls in sick.

The non-dragon spells are fine. The dragon ones will require you to gain them in play, and you cannot start with them.

What a surprise, we're getting another spellcaster at around the level when spellcasters stop sucking.

And also he's a pyro.

Believe it or not, I have found that it's not too difficult to make melee characters that can crush spellcasters by level 20. An example is Sinistar, the Warforged Juggernaut/Fighter/Occult Slayer that I made to fight my brother's Runesmith/Wizard. Asides from being nigh-immune to magic, he can create antimagic fields as a standard action, as well as being able to still use magic items. Some of you (at least RAM) may remember Sinistar from Neruz's game, and this was the logical conclusion. Hurt the finger wigglers!

On that note, do you recall why Neruz switched our game to 4e? It went something like...

"Dimension Door!"
*steal steal steal*
"ROOOAAAAWWRRRR!!!"
"Quickened Teleport!"
*?*
*Profit!*

I'd like to point out that I never got to use his Quickened Explosive Chain Lightning, either. And then there's the Ruby WINdicator, oh my god you guys, EIGHT spells in a turn... without nightstick cheese.

Whenever I decide to make a character with caster levels, I never go above half my level in it. Melee combat is just way more fun that pointing and clicking, so to speak. Eafoth is my only pure caster thus far, but that's because this campaign doesn't look like it needs optimization to survive. What kind of cleric takes TWF, anyway?
