Elves in DF are creepy, but not because they bring you blood. I'd say its because they have an obession with nature that rivals most DF players obsession with malevolent architecture.

 I don't think Elves actually bring my dwarves any blood. Humans on the other hand, seem to bring along barrels full of anythings blood. Even dragonflys. Can you imagine someone actually sitting down and draining enough blood out of dragonflys to fill an entire barrel? Maybe on my next fort I should by any barrel of blood the traders bring. It'd be in interesting to see the various creatures the humans and dwarves have

I seem to be unable to dump blood out of a barrel in the latest version, I'm sure I was able to do it before (31.0x).  I can dump the entire barrel with the blood in it, but if I mark the blood inside for dumping it isn't touched.  I guess the dwarves don't want to pick it up with their bare hands..

Anybody else tried this?

Humans man, you dont mess with them. Also, did you toy with the raws? Something you did might have changed the ethics of Elves.

Dragonfly blood should probably be more or less black (they don't have actuall blood but instead they have a black body fluid.)
