I suggest making ship pogs, or giving out the dimensions and letting one of us do it. Pogs use up resources, but there shouldn't be that many ships in play at once...

All you need is an over-head cross-section of a ship and the ability to resize it. Does anyone know of a good source of ships, probably sailing ships, that have been separated into cross-sections?

Yes, kind of like that, but it would have some sort of rigging level with a crows-nest and maybe a swimming pool...

Errr right.

wait...
maybe a swimming pool...

What.

Edit: The issue is that gametable does not handle things of less than 2.5 feet well.

I thought swimming pools were standard with all ships.

Okay using mspaint and gimp I have dissected the ship and am now ready to make pogs...

I can not find the pog place.

Anyone know where this ".8" version stores pogs? It is not the same place as .7.

Apparently I suck at image manipulation, not really a big surprise.

Here is a ship thingy.

Spoiler: REALLY BIG IMAGE(S) (click to show/hide)

And then a part of ship made in gametable.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

They are about the same size I think, the gametable one is just zoomed out three times.

I made one, you guys will be starting out with a Brig, which is a good small, fast, low-maintenance raider.  I just need to resize the .png files to properly fit the gametable grid.

No, Criptfiend, get that Theurgeme down, you can't have one of those right off the bat.

I could also let you guys use the Caravel from Criptfiend's thing though.

The caravel underlays work pretty well although they don't match up precisely with the grid.  It's not a big deal.

I want to get a Corvette at one point or another.

Before it was a car, it was a ship! And a fast one, too.

We may end up using maptool, I'm starting to get disenchanted with Gametable's shortcomings.  Namely, it's impossible to get the grid to line up with anything, which makes it very difficult to have nice looking anything in game.

I turn the grid off to draw. So ya. It is a pain in the ass.
