I think no, there has been… what, four other people turned down.

Also can you give us a idea of the scale for that map?

I generated it in fractal-mapper, then exported to a PNG and bump-mapped it.

The players are citizens of the Empire, which constitutes the Imperial Mainland, Northwest Reach, and the surrounding smaller landmasses.

Specifically, I plan on putting you along the far western edge of the Northwest Reach, with that sea between you and Albion as the main theatre of the campaign, seeing as the empire is at war with Albion.

The NR is mostly normal European Temperate climate, the mainland is similar but the southern area and the JT are jungles.  Albion is similar to the Empire.  Arad is mostly desert, and Orien varies.  Nordland is cold.

The excessively large ice borders on the top and bottom are there because the map is made to mapped onto a sphere.

And no, no more people.  If I did take more it'd be one of the people who was turned down, like Carrion or bluepuppet.

Sweet. So when are we doing this? I will not have access to a computer starting… around a half hour and then it will be around four hours until I do.

So today is not the best day for me. :/

Also how big is the empire? For scale.

I think if you have a natural swim speed you can cast somatic spells underwater.

Shoal Halflings do. So no scrolls then, spells are OK, and my bow probably has a huge penalty or something. But at least my bag of holding is watertight...Right? Right?

Also cool map.

And... I have to work in half an hour. So there's that.

Ranged weapons take -2 for every five feet. A Aquatic longbow does not. It has a range of 60 out of water and 10 under water. With a feat the underwater range goes to 30. (but at that point you might as well just get the feat for the underwater crossbow which is exotic but has a range of 40 underwater.)

Edit: Underwater bow costs 400gp so ya...

There is no scale.  I'm going to make a tentative comparison that the Albion/Arad/Etc. landmass is probably around the size of Asia.

I'm not ready yet, give it a day or two.

The Navy works under the assumption ships have magic users, the armory will have waterproof scrolls.

Guh, I really hope we don't have underwater adventures, at least not for the first several levels. The way my bard is set up, he won't be able to do anything other than flail around and drown.

Don't we have a druid for that stuff?

:/ She does not have that spell yet. I think we should shell out for two or three. Anyone got any extra money? 375 for 10 hours of underwater breathing.

Edit 2: 3/5 of us can breath underwater so 5 hours each. That sounds okay to me.

Hum if we invest that at a nice 10% interest in… 28 years it will be enough.

on the subject of water breathing, i was going to do an aquatic elf, but i thought that a slightly unusual for the setting race could have a little fun. Underwater adventures could be a pain for me though, as iv'e planned my character to take full use of flight

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

I can take a feat that will allow one person that is within five feet of me to breath water. But then I will need to take a flaw.

The implications of allowing someone to breath water are… interesting.

Hey wolfy, are you just going to stand back and shoot or are you going to get up-close-and-personal?

What does everyone think about using hexes instead of squares?  They get rid of the extra rules for diagonal movement, but not everyone lieks them.

Don't do hexes! You will be cursed!
