Criptfiend, are your melee attack bonuses really +7 after the two-weapon penalties, or did you forget to add those in, or is there something I missed?

3(BAB)+4(Dex)+1(wep focus)+1(MAGIC!1!)-2(TWP)=7

So I'm just wondering criptfiend, what's your +3 Other bonus to AC?

And Cthulhu, before I forget, can I cast spells / read scrolls / fire my bow while swimming at the surface? And are magjc scrolls waterproof?

Mine is the wisdom that will pierce the heavens… and give me +3 to AC.

You can't cast spells with somatic components if you're swimming, as your hands are occupied.  If your spell is stilled you can, unless you're under and can't breathe underwater.  I think if you have a natural swim speed you can cast somatic spells underwater.

Scrolls aren't normally waterproof.  You can get scrolls engraved in eelskin though, which are.

Can I have magic fire under water?

Edit: Oh wait it is not magic I swear!

There's a feat to cast fire spells underwater.  Otherwise you have to make a spellcraft (I think) check or nothing happens.  If it works or if you have the feat you use steam instead of fire.

Tell me more. My strongest attack is basicly a shot of fire from my hands, it is supernatural. Spell craft is not even a class skill for me.

Maybe It is a good idea to swich it out for the slightly weaker shadow attack.

That works if you want, I would rather not cheat the system though, it makes sense for fire not to work. Ya… it makes no sense to me that I can use fire underwater.

What book is that feat in?
Edit: Found it... It does not look like it is for me, I am going to look for somthing to replace Fan the flames.

Is it too late for me to sign up? And if not, how do I make a character? EDIT: Just read the part of the OP which covers that...

I'm pretty sure that book was made before Weeaboo Fightan Magic.  I don't see a reason why whatever force you're harnessing to create fire around your blade can't just heat the water around it to searing levels.

I've made a world map, showing the major landmasses.  I'll work on the details of your part of the world next.

I am using the same force that say allows a dragon to breath fire. I don’t know what the implications for that are but eh.

Shadow Garrote is pretty sweet. 5d6 damg and it makes them flatfooted for a round. I think I will just go with that.

(Also it makes me feel beter that my fish man is not using fire.)

Edit: Holy sweet map batman. Where are we?
