I've just set a pressure plate to a support.
I've adjusted the settings to allow pretty much all units ranging from kobolds to dragons to be able to step on a pressure plate, but when an army of goblins arrived, nothing happened when they stepped on it.
pressure plates seem to work when they're attached to a floor hatch or floodgate, but they don't seem to work with supports for some reason.
I am certain that I've set the weights correctly as well as linking up the mechanisms to the right support, yet no matter what I do, I can't seem to trigger the destruction of a support with pressure plates...

So anyone else experience this problem?

For fuck sake don't bump after 15 minutes,I have had this problem too so I would say it is a glitch.

That wasn't 15 minutes. That was about 21 hours.

Pressure plates aren't 100% reliable anymore. It might have to get stepped on a couple times before it registers. That might have something to do with it.

To test that, hook up a pressure gate to a support and a hatch/door/floodgate, and see what happens.

works with floodgates, hatches ect, and pretty much everything else BUT supports.

does quality of the mechanism matter?
