I'm new to Dwarf Fortress, and I decided that I had no clue what was going on, what that symbol meant, what that letter did, and so on. So I found out about tilesets and decided to try to get one. Well... I kinda... sorta... destroyed my DF files in the process. So, I redownloaded it and was hoping for some advice?
I was tyring to get the Gold plated tileset and the Dystopian Rhetoric Graphics set.

PS: I went by the wiki the first time. and look what happened D:
PPS: I think I had trouble on step 5 of the wiki.

Most of the actively maintained tilesets have the option to download a pre-modified working copy of DF - I would recommend one of the ones in this post listed under "Dwarf Fortress Graphics packs".

Well, I fixed the problem, and now I just need help with the game, period. . Like: How do I set up an army? The Military window doesn't give me much to work with, uniforms I mean, I just want all my good fighting people in a group, but they all have different skills, and not all of them show up so...
