There was a Facebook group that tried to fight "Everyone Draw Muhammad Day" with "Everyone Introduce Muhammad Day".
That same group wants to fight "Burn Koran day" with "Give everyone a Koran day". Well, if you give them a Koran on the same day that they'll be burning them... as politically
wrong as it was, I just laughed out loud.
You're righ it's only very much alike.
I don't know, though if there is "complete" koran with a compilation of every book, and "partial" with only the koran, as when you have sometime only the new testament, and sometime the full bible.
We need a muslim.
Yeah, the Quran's been pretty much exactly the same since the very first version. No "partial" versions. They even copied over all the typos, like "Bakkah" instead of "Makkah" (Mecca) without fixing anything. Which is interesting since the 'original' version was passed down through speech, not text. Hadith, which gets followed more than the Quran, tends to get modified a bit with quite a few falsified ones.
And, yeah, it's pretty much the same stuff as the Bible(s). This site does a good comparison:
http://muslim-canada.org/islam_christianity.html#10commandmentsYou don't even have to dress the Korans like Bibles.. there's close enough similarities that it's almost like burning the same thing. No true Muslim would ever burn a Bible. Even if they believe it's heretical, Bibles still considered holy by Muslims.
