You warp light around yourself, and take on a human appearance. You fly to the north end of the Brooklyn Bridge, and drop down. There are no cars driving. Instead, you see massive groups of humans running through the streets, breaking windows and setting fire to buildings. Still no word on if Emmett is here yet, but right now you must stop these rampaging humans.
You fly to the top of a restaurant's roof, overlooking the seething mob. The light concealing your true form glides off from around you and illuminates you from behind in a golden blaze. You speak, and your words, even though spoke at a normal and calm tone, drown out all other noise.
"Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. Psalms 33:8-9" The mob stops. Torches flicker in the stillness of the scene. All eyes are upon you. Several seconds pass in utter silence. Nothing dare move except for the crackling fire all around.
"Is the demon here?" You ask. A few heads bob slowly and dumbly. "Where?" You demand.
One man in the front of the crowd points north, his hand trembling. "She... arrived several minutes ago... She walked to the center of central park... and demanded we burn this city down or else she would kill us all..."
Your heart begins to beat fast, and a rush of adrenaline pulses through you. You've found your prey.
"Begone, humans," you command. "You are safe now. Be at peace,"
The crowd parts as you land in front of the building and walk through it. Within minutes, you are a block away from the southern entrance to central park. You can feel intense demonic pressure coming from all around. She is here.
