OOC: my new avatar makes me really miss the days of Emmett... sigh
You raise up in the air some more. You are now approximately three stories above the wandering marauders. You grab hold of the longinus between both hands and aim the tip down. You tuck your wings in and begin to fall. You charge your body with light so that your body is propelled down even faster. A trail of swirling light tails you.
There is a sickly
quelch noise as your spear replaces one of the marauder's backbone. You've pierced him from the tip of his head to the base of his spine. After the tiniest pause, his body dissolves into light. This is the Longinus' power. After piercing the heart of Jesus Christ, anyone struck by the spear will be purged without distinction. It's power is so great, that entry into a body causes the soul within to become unstable and distintigrate. You have also added your own light manipulation power to the blade, so that any body that has recently become souless will turn into light itself. Anyway...
The other two marauders begin to turn around, but before they can move their heads even an inch, Longinus has pierced through the back of one of their skulls, and exploded out the other side. Again, a brief moment passes, and the body erupts into whisps of golden light which fade as quickly as they appeared.
The last marauder finally spins around and aims his gun at you. He is trembling. His face is gaunt and pale beneath his black hood. With a wave of your hand, a spark of light moves through his gun, bisecting it. A second wave of the hand, and shackles of golden energy appear around the marauder's ankles.
"Where is the demon, Emmett Duskwhisper?" You ask, putting the Longinus at your side and relaxing your body. This corrupted human is no longer a threat.
"I-I don't know! My friends and I saw her anouncement a few hours ago and decided to loot this place in the panic!" He stammers. His voice disgusts you. It is full of greed and loathing.
"How many hours ago?" You demand calmly.
"Th-Th-Three," He says.
Without a word, you run him through the heart. His face expresses his surprise only for a split second, before he turns into a golden haze.
She was here more recently than you thought. You saw in the broadcast she had no wings, so she couldn't have made it that far. It recently turned day though, which means that anything she may have left behind is no longer trackable. You consider your options... What to do next?
Binding Light: You create immovable bindings out of angelic energy around an enemy.
Golden Spark: With a wave of a hand, you can command a small and fast moving blade of light to slash one target before it disappears.
