You rise out of the crater into the morning sun. One thing's for sure, an angel has been here recently, and it was after the explosion. It was fighting something. Time to find out what. You trace your finger in another circle around you, creating another, smaller, halo of light. With a nod of your head, the halo pulses outward. You close your eyes, and through your mind's eye see every shadow that breaks the halo's path. Trees. Mountainous animals. Rocks. Aha. A human settlement. A small town. You open your eyes and somewhere, the mile-radius halo dissipates. Again, you bind light to your wrists and ankles and after a moment warp to the town. No one is outside, but you can sense life.

You land in the empty streets and summon light to yourself. It bends and refracts around you until, to anyone other than you, you resemble a normal human. You occupy the same space as you would, but the manipulation of light will cause any onlooker to be confused as to your true form. You walk up to a door and knock three times. You hear a gun cock from inside. A voice comes through the door.

"Who is it?" the voice says, wearily.

You place your palm on the door, so that the shadow of your arm is cast across it. From there, you manipulate the light around the door to give you full sight of everything near it. You can see a middle aged man with scruffy stubble from not having shaved recently holding a shotgun at the door. He is sweating nervously, and in the background is what you can only assume are his wife and two children, watching with equal nerves and terror.

Why are these people so jumpy? Perhaps they know something you don't.

"I'll ask again: Who's there?" The man says, gaining slightly more confidence in his tone.

With a calming voice, in a tone that conjures images of pleasantly warm sunny days, you speak. "I mean you no harm. Please tell me what you are so afraid of."

Eyes still closed, you can still see the other side of the door through your shadow's manipulation. The man slowly lowers his gun down. His eyes calming down. Your powers of mental persuasion are second only to incredibly few.

"That demon that was on the TV," the man says. "She's scared everyone out of the minds. We are just holed up here waiting this whole thing out,"

This sounds promising.

"Do you have a copy of the broadcast?" You ask.

"No sir. But it airs almost non-stop on all the major news stations,"

"May I come in and see it?" You ask, putting warmth and comfort into your words.

"Yeah... Of course," the man says, as he opens his door.

After watching the broadcast, you make some very helpful deductions.

1. This demon lacks any subtlety whatsoever.
2. It was in Washington DC incredibly recently.
3. Her name is Emmett Duskwhisper.
4. Emmett is overconfident.
5. Emmett is a combat demon, as shown by her manipulation of blood.

You step out of the house and wave goodbye to the family. They shut the door, and you move the light from around you so that you look angelic again. You fly into the air. This hunt is getting more and more exciting by the minute.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

OOC: completely forgot that I could just go for a more straight-to-the-point post system than the literary and descriptive mastrubation that's caused me to lose steam in the past.

You leap into the air and fly in the direction of Washington DC. In several minutes of flying at breakneck speed, you arrive at your destination. The ground below is a burning wasteland of crumbling buildings and flayed corpses. The fires are still burning, but faintly. Emmett must have been here very recently, but left a few hours ago. As you look around for clues, you stop dead in your tracks. There, well below you, shambling across the national mall is a group of men in black cloaks. Three of them, in full robes, obscuring their features, are walking across the smoldering field. On their backs are crudely stitched in insignias of red skulls. You briefly glimpse the tip of an assault rifle poking through one of their robes.

Become invisible and then charge as fast as we can at them and ram our Longinus straight through one, then turn around and engage in melee with the other two.

Create a deck of cards out of pure light.
Separate the deck into two halves. Hold one in each hand, thumbs inward.
Perform COMBAT TECHNIQUE: ASSAULT RIFFLE.

Or, like, kill them or something. Meh.

Tell them that you are here to kill the demon and they will be forgiven if they quit their life of evil.

If they do not immediately change their ways (read minds to make sure) kill them.

Mere humans with ASSAULT RIFLES.

Anyway, guys, either we kill them without a word or we risk getting wounded (or killed if we're unlucky). Your choice guys. I, for one, am not going to risk our health for minions of evil.

Remember what Uriel said way back when at ye olde gas station when he was alive.

So far:

2 for straight up killin' them.
2 for talkin' then killin' if it goes bad.
