we haven't even depopulated the US... less than a million. there are 4 billion people in the world. if she mananges to depopulate it... well, I expect Abbie to try and keep her from taking his job at some point.

I'm not sure of it
Many have died, many horrible deaths
But Billions and more?
I mean over the age of the Earth. There are, in fact, 6 billion people in the world; however, about 60 billion have died, and it is not unrealistic to expect that out of 60 billion, more than... three would go to heaven and fight, yes?

yes, there are probably many many angels, but we're talking about the seraphs here (just as a note, they have 6 wings, not 2). they are basically gods right hand. or rather, in this continuity, gods right hands right hand. comparitively few souls can even become angels, let alone Seraphs. if I remember, they were just created way back in the beginning and have never gotten new members. also, they have many types as well, so even fewer are in charge of beating the poo out of demons.

I suspect that those that are in charge of that do it quite well.

Please remember what Uriel said about Alice's soul. She's not entirely human.

You walk around the perimeter of the town, tracing your finger in the air beside you. Once you've made a full circle, a brilliant ring of light appears around the area you traced. Shadows are the interruption of light. You walk to the center of the radiant circle. You open your wings wide and raise your spear in the air. Any object that disturbs the light leaves a shadow behind. The ring flashes once and closes in on the Longinus's spade-shaped tip. Any shadow can be traced to its source by following the displacement of light.

You close your eyes, as your mind's eye follows the shadow of a flying figure as it runs along the ground. The shadow has two large feathered wings. It isn't safe to assume that it belongs to Malachi, since demons have been known to have feathered wings in some rare cases in the past. In any case, you should follow the shadow's path until you reach more clues.

You open your eyes and silently jump into the air. The sun is just coming up over the horizon. The morning sky is red, the color of sin. Once in the air, you draw the sun's rays into you for just a moment. Light gathers around your wrists and ankles. Within an instant, you are moved instantly to the place at the end of the shadow's path you tracked earlier. It is an enormous crater, so deep that you can't see into its depths. There has to be some other clue around here.

...

I don't know.

Well, we have to learn our powers, might as well test them out by trying to bring light with us.

You gather light into your palm, and form it into a sphere. You then slowly descend into the depths of the crater. As you get deeper, the light from your hand becomes the only illumination in the darkness. Whatever caused this explosion was quite powerful. At the very bottom of the crater are several white feathers. They obviously fell into the crater shortly after the explosion occured, as evident by the rubble that had fallen on them and mostly obscured them.

You pick one up, and hold it into the light. It's shadow, large and immoving, is projected on the far wall. This feather belonged to an angel. But which one? When? Where did it go? Did it die in the explosion? Did it cause it? You're going to need more clues.
