It took me about four weeks to learn how to play Modern Warfare 2.

I still can't really play it, so I went back to Dwarf Fortress. It's more casual and easier.

I.

What.

Seriously? God damn these people are fucking stupid. Of course MSN is part of the same company that has stated that people are afraid of buttons.

If you excuse me I'm going to go practice ARMA 2, thank god it doesn't have a steep learning curve! :P

I find it very appropriate that in the second one, Picard seems to be facepalming in response to some Anonymous or another.

To be fair, Bay 12 members are probably the least capable of judging a learning curve's difficulty, after all these forums are mostly dedicated to a game which has no learning curve - it's more akin to a learning cliff. With no rigging. Covered in magma.

You cannot possibly make it any easier and still call it a FPS.
FPSes aren't the most complex games to begin with...

Honestly I think MW2 has the highest learning curve out of any fps I've played in a while. It takes me a minute or so to relearn the controls every time I go to play it again. To some people a minute of learning may seem like an hour, I mean, come on, that's about 1/45th of the average class for them highschool kids.
Hell, the learning curve even has an impact on competition, if I think that R2 reloads and I throw a grenade at a wall right next to me as a result, I'll do a lot worse than someone who doesn't throw a grenade at themselves.

Although I tend to sound like a broken record, I think Tribes has probably the most difficult learning curve of all FPS games I've seen. I mean, just try landing a mid-air disk. I've played the game for years and I never mastered that.
