I built one of these last weekend. This is sethbling's second video about them. In the first video someone commented on them causing lag in SMP but let's hope they are wrong.

Given the ammount of blocks being moved and how lame notch's netcode is, it's very likely it'll cause lag. Although we could fiddle with the electronics to make the elevator run just a single loop (up/down) when activated via a button, for instance.
Come to Kale's Server, I have actually built one. It even has switches that cover both first and second floor...

To decrease lag, it is slightly shorter in height, and slower. Much slower.

Man I wish I could join up onto the PlaneHacked Server...
Kale's one barely has anyone in it except for me...

Still, creative mode wouldn't be available and I would have this epic looking railway that I am building...
But then again, people to talk to when playing is always helpful...

EDIT::: Ah bugger it... Wheres that Email I need to send to again for whitelisting... \\scurry off...\\

There wasn't any clues at all.
I mean I went to the .com site and it had contacts which was not even a proper link. Then I double checked a ton of things before I asked... Its prob staring me in the face...

Hi all, I've been thinking of signing up for this, because I've given up trying to get my friends on our server more (at all) and have been wanting to play Minecraft multiplayer more. The one question I have is this. I suck at asthetic building atm. So, would people yell at me for slightly ugly buildings on the open server, or would I get constructive feedback on improving? I'd understand if people would prefer nice-looking stuff on the server, so if that was the case, I'd just wait until I improve my design abilities more before even bothering to sign up...
