REMINDER

Although it's not on the map, I'd like to claim about half of the block directly south of block 45. I guess I'd call it block 55?

The intent is to build the temple there. As it's close to both civic and residential buildings I think it's a suitable building to add there. As well it's a location I've already surveyed and inquired about.

It's been about a day since I posted this and I'd like to reiterate my intent to claim part of the area. If there are no complaints in another 24 hours I will commence land clearing and building.

Now, any ideas on how we want to implement Nether in this?

The area I want to build on is far away from the underground railway, so I was planning on digging catacombs beneath it. I was toying with the idea of some of the burial chambers being 'corrupted' with zombie or skeleton spawners inside them (although acquiring the spawners would be tricky). Perhaps a nether portal could be put into one of the tombs?

Alternatively, perhaps put the portal at the bottom of Moria or the quarry?

I am not opposed to this, but I must say that getting mob spawners will not be possible, sorry.  Lest you want the dead rising as tasty tasty pigs!

Lord, the "glass and metal shrine" in the spawn area was a prototype lighthouse top built by Jones and me.  Only OPs can build in the obsidian box.

I just finished off the first permanent elephant topiary and a spiral flow fountain in the park. I'm really happy with the results of both those projects. Feedback is always appreciated.

Since clay is so rare, it is now two wool blocks for one clay. As itwas, it's twice as easy to make a solid diamond block than it is to make a brick block.

As well it might be a good idea to construct a tower at the north-eastern tip to control that bay's water access.

No, because in a few days there'll be an update that will make it burn out on it's own.

Just don't go over there and it will stay in stasis until then. The city is safe even if the fire does reach the wall, though.
