All my work 36 diamonds, so much redstone... all gone. I also logged in inside a dark cave next to an open zombie dungeon. I'm sure you can guess how that went :c

I think I might go back to the main server. If anyone can find my cave, there's a hidden stash with about 22 diamonds, some lapis, iron, saddles, even a block or two of tnt. Find it and it's yours.

It sounds like the whole map reset. I'll reload the backup, maybe something weird happened.

Log in and tell me what the world looks like. I loaded up a backup. I was hesitant since I thought it was just a few hours of rollback, but it sounds like it was more like most of the map being regenerated.

Inventories should have rolled back too, so Osmosis got his groove loot back.

Or if someone has a sweet DF save they wouldn't mind sharing, we could use DF2MC.

There's a few things we can do; we could try some other map generators while we're at it. ZOMG was for Alpha, unfortunately.

There is a desert map generator that looks interesting.

Is the desert generator the primordial desert one? If so I definitely reccomend it as it is awesome on SP.

I finally registered on B12 and just wanted to say thanks to PTTG for the great server he is running! 

I probably won't be online that much.. playing Industrial Craft and it is too much fun.

The Primordial Desert map needs to be pregenerated; however, the maps can be so large it isn't a serious issue.

Primordial maps are amazing, but the gen times can hit hours easily. Also, the material that Pyramids and underground passageways are made of is randomized every generation, and if its something silly like ice or logs, I would recommend a regen. Wood is also very scarce, so I recommend the first thing we build is a tree farm of considerable size. Water is scarce also, but most of the water is infinite due to the way its placed.

The dunes also make above-ground constructions very hard to do, as there is no real flat ground. The volcanoes and mountain ranges are beautiful, however, and I cant wait to see what some bay 12 dorfs do to them!
