How wide will it be?

Where I live, there literally isn't enough power for everybody, so there's blackouts a few times daily.

Wow, I check in on the server and somebody has already dug a passage containing all the plateaus. Thanks, guys!

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to bump this.

Oh, and PTTG, could you enable TNT? We won't abuse it - it's just that mining is incredibly time-consuming.

And when you change map it would be nice if you could upload the savefile, so I can work on it privately if it's not done.

It was me who dug the passage (by the way, I'm Maunoir on MC). I hope the measures were correct.
One thing I didn't understand: do you want the city to be half-circular, or just a long rectangle? Because the curves will be a little bit difficult to carve (for me).

It's a half-circle. Later on I'll be doing something about that. Use Paint.NET for curves.

Plateau lengths are listed on the plan, but here they are: 11(done), 11(pending), 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25

EDIT: Oh, and thanks Maunoir! Add your name to the Hall of Heroes if you haven't already.

Plateau 2 cutting complete.

Someone else needs to come in and cut out the borders of the next one, I'm not dedicated enough to do that.  I'll come back and work some more once I know where to dig.

Well, I was re-re-rebuilding the Nomesphere, and changed the design a bit so the bands could be filled with lava.  Unfortunately, it appears that buckets are rebroken.  It would be nice if someone could look in to that, maybe it was just the lag.

I'm taking the oprotunity to back up the world.

Linux is now spewing walls of ASCII at me.

I just tried "Tar -c world world2.tar"
Anyone know why this would cause my screen to turn into the greyscale matrix for ten minutes straight? It's still going...
