I know SMP is still under serious development, but I don't think Notch has thought it through enough. I mean the server code really needs to support multiple user levels/classes, chat channels  which can be set to different privilege levels and some kind of way of setting alerts for certain events i.e. fire. The server could just tell OP's where and who the event was so they could go investigate if it's safe or not

You know what? Fuck it. Logged in just now to find out the tree I was worked on for a day or two was burning down. I placed it far off from the mainland to avoid it and whoever did it made sure to go all the way there and burn it.

I'm not playing on PlaneHacked again until llamacraft or another fire-stopping anti-griefing mod/wrapper is in place.

...huh. Okay, trouble-shooting question for you.

I can run Minecraft quite happily for a while. But, once I inevitably get one of those "connection lost: time-out" errors, it totally kills my net. I can't access any webpages, 'ping' times out, the works.

Any clue what the heck is going on here (or any way to diagnose it)? It only seems to happen with Minecraft SMP, and it's only affecting this one computer (other machines on the LAN still work fine). 




...not like it's going to stop me playing around on Minecraft. I'll just have to be careful and try not to lag into the bedrock again.
