I can't seem to connect to the Project server. Did that get pulled during my hiatus or is it awaiting a new map as per the poll?

From what I know, it's currently residing in indecision limbo. It's still up with the 1.7.3 software, though (I think), so you can connect to it that way.

Tested it.  Unfortunately, project is not up at all.  I'll talk to PTTG to see if we can get it up and running in peaceful mode.

If you download the Spoutcraft client (linked on the tectonicus site), you can do multiplayer without having to swap out your minecraft.jar.  My standard minecraft client is modded heavily, while my spout is clean, which allows me to do whatever without too much labour.  You should check it out!

I also think that people here should still check out tectonicus if they want a decent SMP server, though it can admittedly be a little slow and/or quirky at times.

That's not a bad idea. It could be a statue. A statue for a world named after a statue containing the history of a world... including the construction of the statue itself.
