Jeb is certainly not an intern.

He's a seperate programmer paid a wage by the Mojang company. Notch and Jeb both work on MC, although Notch occasionally helps out with the other Mojang games; I've been hearing a bit about Rex Kwan Do in his twitter lately. That said, the work they do is independant of each other; so aside from the odd bit of advice, a given addition will be entirely coded by Notch (such as the new biome stuff) or entirely by Jeb (such as pistons). I'm guessing the latter is why it sometimes seems like Jeb is the only one working on MC; he is often working on a juicy new feature when Notch might be cleaning up some code. One get talked about, the other doesn't.

As for minecraft, it'll probably be a couple more weeks before it's released released. Does anyone want a prerelease server? It would replace both our current servers for the time being.

Ever since Pre-Release was let loose, I've been unable to access any online servers, so... I updated to 1.8 pre.  I would not at all mind a 1.8 pre server.

Lord does not want to spoil it for himself.  The pre-release is extremely glitchy, as it is.

If we do a pre-release server, I would suggest a creative server, seeing as it is less crash-prone than survival, so far as I can see.

I'd actually like to suggest that we get the Cubic Chunks mod for Open/Project when it's updated. If we want to do anything vertical, we'll almost certainly need the extra space, and it's neat/minimal enough that running it on Open is viable too.
