I have gotten my crude mod to work, and it actually looks pretty good. there's the unevenly-shaped central normal region and the surrounding slipscape... it all counts as slip, even in the grassy areas.

I could make it all normal instead, which would possibly not have slip creatures, but on the other hand would look much better and have both day/night cycles and working watches and compases... and I think that some blocks (water from buckets and seeds, IIRC) can't be placed in slip.

If I do that, any completely new chunks would go back to being normal terrain. I can resolve that by just exploring A LOT before uploading it.

Other thing: I declare the whole mcclay matter over, and the next person to post about it, including mcclay, will get banned from the server. Unless it's me, or something stupid like that.

And we're back. Check it out, we have the new map, with a moderately sized tempoarate central area. It's still technically all nether, but we might still see some normal critters.

I have two things to say about the new server.

I have killed a ghast with my bare hands. I AM ALL THAT IS MAN! (Seriously, screw you cave ghast).

If anyone's curious, I'm entrenched in a hill to what *I think* is the north of spawn. Also, eerr, I borrowed a stone pick axe and shovel from your 'spare tools chest' in the cobble bunker near spawn. If you want me to replace it, let me know, I have the supplies now.

Oh, and I've found a skele dungeon.

I haven't. Once my trees grow, I'll craft myself a bow with the string I found, and we can clear it out to set up a drowning trap.
