I encourage players to work together to make secure, well-stocked forts and repair them. Perhaps a walled town with torches might be easier to build in?

You wouldn't happen to be in a hole near a lake near a floating circle section of tower would you? I remember building a hold in the ground to hide from the creepers.

Just found out that I started my tower on prime monster real estate, they are spawning inside my tower.

It was such a good spot for a tower as well.

But it's alright I think I have an even better spot. Do furnaces work on this sever? I was trying earlier to use one to make a pickaxe to mine some redstone but nothing was happening, the furnace lit but nothing smelted.

Nope. I made this hideout with my own bare shovel and pick.

Edit: Can the spawning area be unblocked so it can be fixed? Right now it's just a giant hole in the ground.

Forges should be working fine.

Leave the iron ore at the top.

The smelting progress bar is broken though.

Note that 8 coal = a full stack of smelted material, be it stone, glass, iron ore, or gold ore.

Sticks are a waste. If you want to use wood in any form, just use planks.

I left the ore in the furnace and found out that the furnaces were indeed making ingots, the progress bar was just broken (Thanks eeer)

What time do people usually play at? When I come on no one is on when I usually connect, that said the server seems to be down.
