We are looking into a number of mods... I'd generally prefer to have lightweight, aproachable mods, but there are a few that look really nice, particularly towny and a few other hey0 mods for server protection (fire prevention, that sort of thing).

Anything that makes chatting a little more powerful and adds some administration tools would be nice.

Point me to any interesting mods. Note that I am looking for something that won't require lots of overhead.

I saw a chat colour mod somewhere.

Cuboid and optionally ChestProtect is a must.

You might want to ask Soulwynd for his Soulconomy mod.

Using the BiomeTerrain Mod so we can have underground lakes, biome specific trees, and even more interesting terrain. Wind waker style world anyone? Underwater cities would be great.

Actually, I have a few ideas... to start, we could have two teams with magically created equipment and hook those up... two bases, and a pillar of sand in each base. The winning team is the one that gets to the enemy base and digs out enough sand from the pillar... or something.

I want to see if we can move the server to the fast internet connection first, but once I have that, who's interested in some PvP testing?

That's pretty much the plan for the Jaycraft Arena Games, which I am organising. They'll take place soon. PvP testing and stuff. Just need people.

That's basicly the idea I had in mind. Two towers, one contested field of randomnized terrain. Two teams with a grudge.

Each tower has a TnT core and a obsidian base (so they don't crater too badly). The goal is to blow the opposing Kingdom's tower to Kingdom Come. By scaling their tower and setting off the explosives.

I even had a idea for classes, with engineers building towers for the Archers (wood) bridges for the grunts (also wood) walls and moats for defensive purposes (soil probably) or even assembling ladders for scaling the opponents tower (if they're cheap and break it to prevent access) and of course flint wielding pyros who burn down everything they create and cherish.

Basic stick wielding peasants who are easy to field, but pretty poor at combat. And of course brutish plate armored knights with swords, whose job is to stomp peasants into the dirt. As god intended.

And of course the Jester, who wears the colours of both teams, but carries food and other powerups. Bouncing around from time to time and tossing them arbitrarily over the field. (unless someone puts a arrow in his head)
